Chapter 7: Love at first sight

"Zenitsu, I wanna kiss you!" Tanjirou yells eyes closed, face red.

"What!? Don't you think your going at this too fast? It's been less than a day-"

"I know, I thought that at first too, but now I know there is such thing as love at first sight!" Tanjirou said.

"Love at first sight?" Zenitsu questioned. Tanjirou nodded aggressively.

"Y-yes but...still." Zenitsu tried to hide his crimson stained face with his hands, but Tanjirou grabbed them.

"Tanjirou, wait!" Zenitsu begged him. Tanjirou pouted.

"Believe in whatever you want, love at first sight, whatever it is, but you're going at this way to quickly." Zenitsu semi-yelled.

"But I can't wait anymore, it's hardly been a day and I can't even surpress these feelings."

"Even so, I barely know you! Not even something as simple as your favourite colour."

"Zenitsu..." Tanjirou loosened up his grip on Zenitsus hand.

Zenitsu ripped out his arms and pushed Tanjirous face away.

"I'm sorry but I have to go now!" Zenitsu ran out the door, Tanjirou reached his hand out towards him.

"Wait, Zenitsu!"

Tanjirou slowly put down his hand, he sulked and curled up in a fetal position.

"What was I expecting anyways? He's right it's barely been a day. I'm going at this way too quickly."

Tanjirou pouted.

"But I still really like him, I probably ruined our friendship." Tanjirou hid his head in a pillow.

"That was so awkward!" Zenitsu puffed up his crimson coloured cheeks. Zenitsu sneezed and hugged himself in attempt to warm himself up.

"I-its so cold, of course it's the dead of night, running away like that was a stupid move." Zenitsu scolded himself.

"But I can't just go back now, that'd make things way worse." Zenitsu pouted.

"I'll just have to hope he magically forgets everything tomorrow." Zenitsu sighed and walked through the darkness.

"What he said about love at first sight, is it really true? Or is it something else." Zenitsu shook his head.

"Way too much thinking, I'm too tired for that." He yawned.

Tuesday

Tanjirou woke up early in the morning. 3:00am to be exact, he always wakes up at that time to help with the bakery.

Then when he's done, he goes to wake up his younger sister, Nezuko, who can't wake up in mornings at all.

"It's time for school, Nezuko, up up! Don't keep Daki and Susumaru waiting!" Tanjirou yelled.

"Mumph." She groaned.

"I'll leave you for a bit." He leaves. Then, he goes to wake up his younger sibling, Takeo, Shigeru, Rokuta and Hanako.

They also have trouble waking up in mornings, they're just not as bad as Nezuko.

Sooner or later Nezuko was pulled out of bed, Tanjirou had no choice but to use the tactic that he never likes using.

"Nezuko, if you don't wake up in 5 seconds, I'll get the bucket!" He said.

She shot up out of bed and lazily got out.

"Thank you Nezuko." He gave her Headpat. She rubbed her eyes and proceeded to go take a bath.

"So far, I've my bag and my siblings bags packed, and mom made breakfast, so were all good to go." He smiles.

Tanjirou went downstairs to the bakery part, he smelt someone nearby it.

"Hey how can I help you-" When he saw the person he froze up.

The opposing person froze up too.

They both turned their heads.

"H-Hi Zenitsu." He blushed a bit, remembering all he said and did last night was sorta embarrassing.

"Yeah, H-Hi." Zenitsu narrowed his eyes.

"I'll just have a baguette." Zenitsu smiled.

"Right." Tanjirou chuckled awkwardly.

"Here you go." Tanjirou passed him a bag.

"Thanks, and um, Tanjirou. About yesterday-" Zenitsu squeezed his bag a bit.

"Yes, about yesterday, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused you, I shouldn't have even said that." Tanjirou bowed his head

"N-no it's alright, just how about we forget it ever happened, that sound good to you?"

He chuckled awkwardly.

"Forget it?"

"Yeah, in the end if we brought it up it'll just end up being weird anyways so it'd be a good idea if we just....forget it ever even happened."

Zenitsu chuckled.

"Y-Yeah you're right." Tanjirou sighed.

Zenitsu smiled and walked away.

"See you soon." He chuckled.

"Yeah, see you soon." Tanjirou laughed. Again, once He was fully out of sight he almost dropped himself on the counter.

"He's still really cute! It really is love at first sight." Tanjirou tried not to lose himself to his feelings.

Right now he had more important things to do.
