Heavy breaths leave their mouths as they both lay back on the bed after a second really pleasurable round of making love. Regina is laying on her back and Robin places his head carefully on her chest, caressing the scar of her wound around her right breast with his fingers.

His face becomes impossibly serious while his mind flashes back to the horrible memories of the love of his life screaming, gasping and crying from the pain. Unconsciously he puts his hands around her waist and holds her tighter to him. He is still having nightmares from that day. Nightmares about her being dead on the ground and him screaming her name desperately in his effort to wake her up, but in his nightmares she would never wake. She just stayed still and cold and Robin was crying loudly calling for her to come back to him, to not leave him, because he can't, he can't live without her. But he has never said that to her.

Every night he wakes, jumping from the bed, breathing quick and sharp with tears running down his cheeks. Then he turns his head and watches her breathing peacefully next to him and he calms down slowly, and with soft movements he puts his hands on her chest to feel her heart beating and he finally can breathe again. Then he lays back down next to her and pulls her closer to him because he wants nothing more than to feel her warm and alive in his arms.

And he finally can sleep.

''What is it?'' She asks, running her fingers through his hair. She can see the worry in his features, can feel that something is bothering him. And she cannot stand it, can not feel him worrying about her. Because she knows it's about her.

He answers ''nothing'' and kisses her chest, warm and wet kisses that send shivers through her spine. She knows he wants to distract her but she is not willing to give it up so easily, so she asks again, cupping his face in her hands and forcing his eyes to meet hers.

''Robin'' she warns, wanting him to know that she won't give up until he speaks and tells her how he feels.

Robin knows more than anyone how stubborn she is - will be - so he sighs and kisses her once more on her lips and talks.

''Can you heal the scars on your body?'' he asks quietly.

He knows that he is the one who told her to not use magic unless it is absolutely necessary, and for him; now it is.

He sees her like this, that moment he thought he lost the other half to him. He can still feel the pain in his heart at the thought of losing her.

She understands now, she understands how horrible it is for him to see her scars everytime she is naked - which is fairly often when they're in the privacy of their own room. They still cannot get away from each other; nights and lunches and mornings they want to be one, to feel each other as close as they can.

It still surprises her that every time they make love it's different. Like their first time and even better.

''I am alive, my love,'' she says, and she knows he knows it. But she still wants to tell him. Not only physically but emotionally too. She can't remember feeling more alive than when she is in his arms .

''Just heal them'' he whispers and looks down to her chest again. He just can't stand it. It's too painful.

She nods and moves her hand to her chest .Robin sits in front of her and waits, watching her close her eyes and anticipates the purple light from her hand. But to his surprise the light is white.

How it can be white?

He says her name then like a whisper and she opens her eyes. She is looking her hand shocked. Light magic. She has light magic?

But she can't; she did not learn light magic, she learned dark magic.

''True love,'' she whispers suddenly looking at him. True love is magic, the most powerful magic of all.

He is the reason she has now light magic.

Robin frowns but looks down to her chest and sees nothing more than her perfect smooth warm skin. No scars, no wounds. He smiles then, because he feels relieved, feels like he can breath again after a long time.

He forgets the ''white light'' and moves on top of her without warning, kissing her deeply.

His tongue explores her mouth like it's their first kiss. She moans and wraps her arms around his neck, whispering ''I love you'' into his mouth every time they part for breath. Because she hasn't forgotten; she has light magic, because of him, because she truly loves him.

Robin doesn't respond to her but it doesn't really matter; she knows it, can feel it every moment of every day. Instead he lowers his hand, lines himself up with her entrance and pushes into her without warning.

Regina gasps and digs her nails into his shoulders. She tries to pull him down to her, feel his chest against hers, but he holds her down and lifts up slightly, looking at the perfect skin under him. Finally, after such a long time, when they make love he can look her chest.

He had been avoiding it every time since the day he almost lost her because he couldn't make love to her and sees her scars.

But now he can, and he feels like he could watch her for every single moment. She understands it and smiles, arching her back when his thrusts become deeper and he lowers his head to take a breast into his mouth. He groans and she gasps, tells him "faster Robin" and he does it whilst staring at her.

She is gasping and whimpering when she comes around him, and for the first time he doesn't stare at her face when she comes; he stares at her chest, watches her breasts bounce with every deep thurst of his and hearing her saying ''Come for me Robin...I'm here , I love you'' he can't hold back and he comes with a nipple in his mouth.
He falls on top of her and looks at her.

''I don't know how to live without you,'' he says and his face breaks, tears ready to fall down his cheeks.

''You won't have to find out,'' She answers and kisses him.

''You promise?'' he asks, breaking the kiss and looking right into her eyes.

''I promise'' she answers. Because she is sure. She has no intention to die, has no intention of losing him.

She doesn't care so much about the life she would lose if she died, but she cares that she would lose him if she did.
So yes, she promises.
