Arnav is still thinking  about what he saw earlier.. Finally they finished their dinner and was about to leave when arnav finally spoke 
Arnav : umm ,di ..i and khushi have someplace to be at this moment. The driver will take you back .if that's okay with you .
Anjali : Yeah ! Sure .Goodnight khushiji .Bye chote .

Khushi: Goodnight di ..

Arnav : let's go to the terrace.

Khushi: okay .

After a few mins .

Khushi: Now i think you finally should say what's been bothering you for this long .

Arnav : okay ....khushi..it's always been you ..from the start ...

Khushi: meaning ?

Arnav : i and payel were never really a couple .i mean i was the most popular guy in school and payel was the queen bee .that's because you never cherished popularity khushi. You're special on your own .but she was kind of my bestfriend back then .when you joined high school,we were on the verge of graduating from there .But i liked you the moment i saw you khushi. I used to ask payel about you ...a lot ...maybe that's when she understood i like you and started to manipulate me and i was too dumb to listen to her ...you remember when you won the short story writing competition? I always knew you're  exceptional! I was on cloud 9 khushi. Do you know once i was about to ask you to be my girlfriend back then ? And as i thought payel is my bestfriend and your sister, i shared that news with her first .but ...*sighs*

Khushi: But what?

Arnav : She told me that ....that you hate me .you see me as a playboy and i never deserve to be loved ...and you said no  girl on this earth should be that unworthy to even consider loving me....i was hurt ....

Khushi: Just great! And i thought your intellectual level is like really high ...😒

Arnav : but i never hated you khushi...and then she proposed that we should play date because she wanted to be prom queeen and as we were really famous it would be easy for her to win the competition...so we decided to pretend like we are dating  ...

Khushi: Yeah ...who can forget that couple of the school..

Arnav : Khushi..i

Khushi: i request you to get to the point fast ..

Arnav: okay  ...then we graduated from school and i went to Harvard  ..Payel joined a reputable fashion designing course ..

Khushi: so you guys were still a couple then ?

Arnav :No ! We were never a couple but about the fake dating i went to announce that when we graduated but payel said it isn't that important..

Khushi : Do you realise she used to dance you on her fingers?

Arnav : i am sorry ...

Khushi: oh i have heard better *mockingly *

Arnav: and when my mom.....my mom passed away ..she told me to never let you go...as i told her about you ...it was her last wish . I was 24 then and you were just 18 ..and mom somehow made sure that we get married the day after her funeral....she was really smart ...her will was watertight. Your family and mine..both were trapped. But even though my world fell apart when my mom died deep inside i was happy that we were going to get married. And if you remember di got married 2 years before that ...And shyam...he was her husband..

Khushi: do you think i don't know that ?

Arnav : No .i didn't mean that .but 1 hour before our marriage payel came to me and said ....you ...you were pregnant with shyam's child...
