"Iris!" Amanda yelled, plopping down beside her red headed best friend who was buried in one of her romance books again. "I've been calling you for the past twenty hours?"
"Really?" Iris closed her book noisily and picked up her phone to glance at the screen. "But my phone says you called two minutes ago because you needed me to get you past my guards."
"Yes and you left me hanging by the doorway." Amanda dramatically held a hand the size of a chicken's lap to her forehead, which was sprinkled with freckles.
"Oh, please." Iris rolled her big, brown eyes and opened the book again to go back to her world of romance.
"Iris!" Amanda screeched, jumping on her best friend in an attempt to squeeze her internal organs.
"Get off me!" Iris shoved her best friend away with all her might and wiggled her nose like a bunny. "If you'd excuse me," Iris blew the scattered strands of her hair away from her eyes, "I'd like to go back to reading this."
Iris pointed at a romance book named unexpected rebound by Godwin Hosanna Aga. She locked gazes with Amanda, while tapping a finger on her wet tongue so she could use it to flip to the next page of the book.
"Anyways, I brought us something more exciting than boring novels." Amanda gushed then went mute immediately Iris threw stare daggers at her. "Okay, novels aren't boring, but stop burying yourself in them."
Iris sank into the bed, trying to cover her head with the book.
"Hold on," Amanda said, searching her bag for something and pulling out a flash. "I have something exciting in this."
She waved it in the air, but still didn't get the attention of Iris. Suddenly, she walked over to where Iris was and yanked the book out of her hand.
"Get over here!" Amanda gripped iris' arm and pulled her out of the bed. "We're going to watch this."
"But I don't wa-"
"Shush!" Amanda held an index finger to her lips and Iris frowned. "We're going to watch fifty shades of Gray and believe me, you're gonna love it!"

Iris laid in bed, her palm flat on her stomach as she bit half of her bottom lip, while replaying intense scenes from the fifty shades of Gray her best friend had coerced her into watching.
Her eyes twinkled as she pictured herself as Anna. These images in her head ignited fire in her bones and her hand suddenly developed a mind of it's own by slowly making it's way under her night dress. If only she had a boyfriend like Amanda's who could make her fantasy come true.
Her hand went higher and just when she touched her hood, she vibrated and her eyes glued shot instantly. She tried to make circles on it before the sound of her father's car made her snap her eyes open. Quickly, she adjusted by placing her palm on her new baby.
A slow smile spread across her face before picking up the fifty shades of Gray copy she had ordered few hours ago and sniffed a lungful of it. Oh, how she loved the scent of new books.
She trailed her long fingers that had perfectly white nails on the book before finally pulling it open to bury herself in it.
"Iris, honey!" The voice of her mother interrupted her, accompanied by the sound of her clicking heels. "Father and I have a surprise."
"Are they finally letting me out?" Iris widened her eyes and swung it to the floor with great anticipation. "Oh, I've been waiting for this my whole life." She muttered to herself, her heart combusting with joy.
