The expedition had been quite peaceful for the Special Operations Squad up until now, although the continuous black and red flares in the sky made their guts churn. Being placed in the rear center had gave them the advantage of not making contact with the titans at all.

However, Eren was confused as to why they were placed in the safest position in the entire formation. The Special Operations Squad was one of the best squads out there, with the most skilled soldiers in the Survey Corps, so why weren't they fighting on the front lines. Was it because of him? Were they supposed to be protecting him?

Shaking out the thoughts from his head, Eren turned to look up to the sky. A bunch of green flares showed up to the sky in the distance, signaling for the change of direction. He could hear Levi's low pitched voice next to him as he kept his eyes on the sky.

"Oluo, you fire," the ravenet ordered, glancing back at the said male. Oluo Bozado's lips formed a smug smile, his curly brown hair fluttering in the wind as he nodded his head, "Yes, sir!"

'It feels like everything is going smoothly at the moment...' Eren sighed, '...but I wonder what the real situation is. We've likely sustained casualties already on the front lines...'

Far to his right, he could see a soldier approaching the group on their horse. Levi had noticed them too, glancing frequently at their approaching form. The soldier merged into the group, riding up to the said ravenet.

"The right flank enemy Scouts have been devastated! The right flank is now blind to enemy movement!" he yelled, loud enough for Levi to hear him over the clopping of hooves, "Please pass the message on to the squads on your left!"

As the man quickly made his way back into the distance, Levi turned his head back to stare at the rest of his squad. His eyes landed on the only female in his squad as he spoke up, "You heard the man, Petra. Move out."

Petra Ral nodded, before departing from their group, "Yes, sir!"

Eren turned his gaze forward, looking into the distance in fright. 'The right flank?! That's where Armin is... But I'm sure Armin and the other guys are stationed closer to the center... The titans couldn't have gotten that far in.'

Hearing the sound of a flare shooting up to the sky behind him, his head snapped around in alarm. "Black flares?! There's an abnormal?!" he gasped.

"Eren, you fire it off," Levi demanded, glancing at him from the corner of his eye. Eren quickly pulled his flare gun out, nodding as he placed the black ammo inside. "Yes, sir!"

He shot the flare up, glancing behind him into the distance the black flare originally came from. Although the others didn't seem to be phased by it, he couldn't get his mind off of it.

'A titan right over there below that flare... Are people battling it?'

The Transport Teams in the center of the formation were panicked. The wagons were still in great condition, everyone was still alive, yet they were distressed by the command's orders.
