A large cloud of smoke rose to the sky. The citizens of Stohess District, previously shocked by the large explosion and rumbling of the ground, were now staring at it. Nile Dok, Commander of the Military Police Brigade, had his eyes on it too. So did all the other soldiers surrounding the town square he currently stood in the middle of.

"What was that?!" the brunet exclaimed, turning around to face one of the squads positioned on the rooftops. "Escort Team! We're fine here! Go check that out!" The two soldiers nodded, and then took off, "Yes, sir!"

"Nile... Dispatch all your troops immediately," Erwin spoke up, his demeanor much calmer, "We must assume a titan has appeared."

Nile's jaw dropped as his dark eyes darted to him, "W... What're you saying?! This is Wall Sina! There's no way a titan could be here!"

The look on Erwin's face made him quiet down. Not a single muscle on his face moved, his icy blue eyes staring back at Nile's own which slowly narrowed into a doubtful frown. They had been guarding the carriage that supposedly had Eren Yeager inside, but now that a titan had apparently appeared, Nile's suspicions rose.

"Erwin... What in the hell are you up to...?"

"Let us pray."

Somewhere in the inner district was located a massive, round-shaped church. Inside its beautifully decorated halls had gathered a rather large group of worshippers. Standing in a circle, arms linked with each other and eyes closed, together they prayed for whatever felt conventional. Outside the formation, three men stood on a stand, multiple chains and other jewelry hanging around their necks and clothing.

"Maria. Rose. Sina. We pray for the wellbeing of our three goddesses, and for our security," the one who stood in the middle, also known as Minister Nick, spoke, his arms spread to the side. "We shall now doubt the holy Walls. The three Walls, born of divine hands... Are further strengthened by our faith and devotion. Our pure and faithful hearts..."

A distant rumbling started shaking the entire building slowly, getting closer every second. Subtly, the priest opened his eyes and glanced outside of the big windows that showcased everything happening outside.

"...protect us from the titans for the only power that drives the titans from us-"

Something big suddenly crashed into the walls abruptly, destroying every single stone brick that kept the building intact and shattering all the colorful window paintings. Debris flew everywhere as Annie's titan form fell on top of the building, shielding herself from all the rubble that cut her flesh. She soon regained her balance, looking down at the worshippers' crushed bodies with wide eyes. She slowly moved her hand against the ground, watching as the bodies trampled under her fingers left a line of blood on the church's stone floor. Human blood and severed body parts were everywhere, even on herself.

The familiar sound of wires soaring through the air alerted her. Annie quickly pushed herself up and sprinted away from the church's ruins as Squad Hange and a bunch of other soldiers soon became visible through the chaos, chasing after her.

Minister Nick scrambled onto his feet, coughing from all the dust around him as he scanned the ruins of his church around him. His eyes widened as he noticed the 14-meter tall titan running away from the scene.
