Minho - age 11
Jisung - age 10

And here he stood. The boy that always seemed to be adventurous and excited held his head up high. He stood back to admire the large new building as he would spend just about three more years learning more about the world inside of it.

On the other hand, another boy who always seemed of be anxious and cautious about things stood right behind the gates. He simply watched as his friend of now four years headed into the new school building before he went his own way to his own school which they used to walk to together.

"A chance for new opportunities, tsk."  Although it had only been the first day of his arrival in the new school building, it didn't seem like anyone else was excited about it. Especially the ones who were returning to the so-called 'dreaded building' as they re-named it.

The brunette was of course shocked at how the new students that roamed the new school were so careless and seemingly reckless. Back at his old school which Jisung still attends, yeah all the students would be pranksters or messy at times yet they still had some soul in them to clean up after whatever shenanigans they had performed.

But here from what he was seeing, the new students (to him) didn't seem to care whatsoever about cleaning up after their messes. There was paint thrown carelessly at the walls, markings and drawings all over the pavements and walls, and even food could be seen splattered outside of the cafeteria.

He wasn't quite sure what to make of it other than it was just a shocker for him. "Later, nerd!" Minho figured he probably wouldn't fit in with the rest of the school already seeing as everyone was extremely different from him. From manners to how they spoke to each other, he already knew he'd be in quite a pickle with this going to a new school thing.

Maybe Jisung was right about fearing for the worst of scenarios. But then again, he hadn't even started and so he'll just let himself guide the way. "Here goes nothing I guess.."  He said to no one in particular, taking a deep breath and stepping into the school.

The schools near where Minho lived including the one he was about to attend never really had the time to set up orientations so the students were pretty much left to fend for themselves which was no surprise at this point. Although, each class did get tours on the first day of school by their homeroom teachers so Minho was at least thankful for that.

"You must be... Lee Minho. you are in class 606, correct?" Minho's homeroom teacher asked, which Minho nodded. "Alright, you may join the line behind me. I'm Mrs. Chai and I'll be your homeroom teacher for this year." She said, earning another nod from Minho who quickly got in the disoriented 'line' of students whom trailed behind her.

Minho was actually invested in the tour and we amazed at how different this school was then his other one. Of course, the other students didn't really seem to care as they just continued chatting with one another, wanting to quickly make friends to start the year. Minho thought he should make friends while he was here with them bundled up together as well, but he saw that everyone was already talking to one another so he decided not to and just focus on the locations of rooms he'd eventually need to go to.

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR ACTIONS CHRISTOPHER BANG, THAT'S DETENTION FOR YOU AGAIN!" A loud shout had boomed throughout the hallways, scaring the group of students including Minho. Although they were touring the school, some classes were still ongoing as the slightly higher grades didn't require tours.

"Sorry if that scared you, there are ongoing classes currently as we are touring and students can sometimes get a little mischievous with their actions. We'll just continue on the tour now." Mrs. Chai said, glancing back slightly to see that the students just continued chatting after that which she just sighed to and continued walking forward.

Well... all continued chatting except for one.

That one being Lee Minho who went out of line (literally) to investigate what happened. Due to the loud conversations, the teacher didn't really notice or hear the footsteps of Minho who went a complete different direction from them, skipping part of the tour momentarily. The class just continued on with the tour while Minho went a separate way.

"Stand in the hallway until your next class." Minho overheard the teacher (not his) say as he hid behind the corner, peeking slightly. "Whatever you say Mrs. Kim." The student, which Minho assumes to be "Christopher Bang" replied, clearly annoyed. The teacher just rolled their eyes before heading back into the classroom, making sure to slam the door on their way in.

The student rolled his eyes before looking to his right side, locking eyes with another pair just around the corner which happens to be Minho's. "The heck are you doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be on that stupid 6th grade tour of yours?" The boy clearly wasn't playing around since somehow he knew Minho was new to the school.

Minho stepped out from his hiding place behind the corner and nodded, getting a little embarrassed from getting caught. "Sorry, I'll get going." He said, about to sprint back to the mess of a line which still followed behind his teacher until a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"Just where do you think you're going? I'm not gonna let you go after you basically just stalked me, creep." The 8th grader said, grabbing Minho and pushing him to the wall. The student obviously knew Minho from somewhere and wouldn't let him walk away just like that. Although, he usually let the others walk free just because he felt nicer sometimes.

The boy squinted at Minho, eyeing him up and down, trying hard to recall where he had seen him from but just let out a 'tsk' and pushed him away. "Whats your name?" Finally be bad actually thought of asking instead of staring at him like he was the actual creep here but Minho brushes that aside and answered.

"It's Lee Minho, I... really have to get going soon." Minho said, not liking the uncomfortable tension that cloaked the room. It seemed like older student was having a hard time dealing with that answer or just thinking really hard and so Minho took this chance to sprint away from him.

That might've been the first experience Minho had ever had with a student in the school. He didn't like it at all and was quite frankly scared. But the thing that did relieve him was that the student was in 8th grade, he saw from the classroom number he came out of. Either way, he hoped to never run into him again.

He ran back to his class/group and never turned back after that. Maybe he shouldn't have ran out of line in the first place. And perhaps being curious wasn't really a good trait to shine out in situations like these.

Throughout the day, he had gotten his schedule, got his classroom number memorized, and got the rest of his classroom numbers of his needed classes memorized. But what he couldn't forget had circulated his mind throughout the day, and that was his encounter with the 8th grader.

He figured there would be no use thinking back to that and so he just tried shaking it off his shoulders as he left the school and headed back home after a tiring first day of school.
