Minho - age 8
Jisung - age 6

"Minhooo, you're late!" Jisung whined, seining the older's figure in the distance that only came closer and closer to him. "Sorry Sungie, my mom had to work a little extra today." Minho said, a little out of breath from the running. The ravenette the as never really big into exercise and so he was basically on his knees at that point, whilst trying to catch his breath.

"Sungie..?" Jisung asked, questioning the nickname. The younger wasn't disgusted by it but rather a little shy about it. He wasn't used to being called a nickname and so when Minho called him that, his face turned a little red.

"You don't like it?" Minho asked, finally standing back up straight even though he wasn't. "N-no, no, I like it.. I'm just not used to it." Jisung spoke, a little quickly. But Minho understood some of what he had said and nodded.

"If it'll make you feel more comfortable, you can give me a nickname too!" He smiled, nudging Jisung's shoulder, as if asking him to think of a nickname for him. "Hmm.. how about Minnie? Or.. Min?" Minho nodded. The two eventually came up with a nickname after a few moments and they both decided that from now on, they'd call each other 'Sungie' and 'Min Min or Minnie.'

The two eventually got bored with discussing nicknames and such, so they decided to talk about other things instead like what they had been watching on YouTube recently and things about school.

"I've been watching those cool dance videos for a while now, I'd really wanna try dancing someday but it seems really hard and it's going to be scary performing infront of so many people.." Minho said. Jisung nodded, he knew that exact feeling of fear when everyone's eyes are placed on you and suddenly you're the one in the spotlight.

Frankly, he never liked that either. "Yeah, I was watching something like rap performances and it's like the same thing..." Jisung said. The boy was interested in singing and rapping and so he had tried the other night rapping 'coolly' in his room but only ended up getting scolded at by his parents as he had caused them to receive a noise complaint from the neighbors. Either way, it was still also a worry for Jisung as well as it would be scary to perform in front of so many people.

"Hey Min.." Jisung paused, feeling a little hesitant to continue on with his question. Minho just turned his head, swishing the side of his head on the grass and turning his head to look directly at Jisung. "What is it?" Minho asked, not caring if he were required to wait a few more minutes for Jisung to try to find the right words to say. Meanwhile, Jisung was currently trying write a script in his mind so he could ensure that he wouldn't mess up.

"You, uh.. you don't think we'll ever stop being friends, right?" Jisung said, turning his head and averting his gaze up to the clear blue skies instead of Minho's face.

"I... I'm not sure..." Minho responded. The older boy knew better than to lie to the younger as he didn't want to break his heart with what he thought to be the truth, and so he simply left it unanswered. It was better that way for both of them anyway, or so Minho thought.

"I'm just... scared. Like what if you are going to find new friends and then forget about me?" Jisung asked, biting his lip at the thought of Minho leaving for someone who were to be better than him. It hurt him more because he knew Minho was probably going to. After all, who'd want to hang out with the 'teacher's pet' ?

"Only time will tell, Sungie.."  Minho said, turning his gaze up to the skies as well, counting each cloud that passed by them. "Your actions count too.." Jisung whispered. Minho didn't hear him as he was too immersed in counting the clouds that passed by.

"Are you free tomorrow?" Minho shook his head. "I have to visit my grandma... the d-doctor said... she might not... make it..." Jisung turned back around to look at Minho who started getting teary-eyed.

"I'm... sorry," Jisung said quietly. Minho just shook his head again. "It's not your fault Sungie... don't be sorry." Jisung got up off the ground and pulled up Minho to bring him in for a big and long hug.

"I'm sure she's excited to see you..." Jisung said, not really knowing what more to say. Regardless, he eventually detached the hug and looked back at him before the corners of his lips started rising upwards forming a small smile that resembled a ':]' face.

"Thanks Sungie.." Jisung simply nodded, giving Minho a small smile as well.
