"You know what, killer? I think I might just keep you for a while," he rasped, a playful smile slowly spreading across his face, but the frightening glint in his eyes remained.
---
He continued to gently press his lips to mine, his thumb smoothing over my cheek softly.
My heart pounded furiously as he pulled away to hover just above my mouth, his lips parting. His warm breath rolling over my face was heavenly and I relished in the feeling of the heat spreading through my veins.
His lips still lingered over mine and I found myself aching to close the distance between them. My mind was blank as I tilted my chin upwards to try to bridge the gap. He chuckled darkly before quickly crashing his lips into mine.
Prickles of heat coursed through me, and my body felt like it was vibrating as he nipped gently at my bottom lip. His curls brushed across my forehead as his lips melded with mine.
The softness of his touch wasn't enough and I grabbed the sides of his face to bring him closer.
He was frantic, his breath coming out in harsh pants as his other hand came up to cup my jaw. Heat rose from my chest rapidly as the hand that was on my cheek trailed down to rest gently on the side of my neck.
His fingertips grazed my skin, and I shivered at the coolness of his rings, secretly pleased he had worn them.
His hands and lips moved quickly against my burning skin, hunting for the area where my sweatshirt had risen, and I gasped at the feeling of his hands sending surges of lightning through my bare skin.
I barely processed the fact that I had been flipped over until his hands were on my waist and his fingertips dug harshly into the side of my hip.
He sat up rapidly, his chest crashing into mine, and I threaded my trembling hands through his curls to pull him even closer.
I felt like a magnet, drawn to him so severely that pulling away would be agonizing.
"Is this okay?" he mumbled breathlessly against my mouth as his hands trailed underneath my sweatshirt. The vibrations of his chest against mine rolled through me intensely and my mind was silent. His body, flush with mine, had dispelled any uncertainty, pacifying my restless mind.
I tore away suddenly, breathing heavily, and a flash of worry crossed his face.
I ripped my sweatshirt off unceremoniously and threw it across the room, catching only a glimpse of his wicked smile as I pressed my hands to jaw and pulled his lips back to mine.
He moaned softly against my mouth and my stomach fluttered. His lips traveled to my neck, and his fingertips trailed up my arms. One hand gently grazed against my collarbone before coming to rest in the center of my chest.
My heart pounded against his palm as his other hand rested on my shoulder, toying gently with the strap of my bra.
His finger curled underneath the strap, his rings skimming against the skin underneath, as his lips ripped away from my jaw. He raised his eyes to mine.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to-"
"Shut up."
My lips found his again, and I placed my hand over the finger still hooked underneath, harshly pulling down the strap down my shoulder.
A knock sounded against the door, and I felt like all the air had been sucked out of the room. I ripped away from Harry, looking at him in shock as I readjusted my bra strap. His face mimicked mine, and I lifted myself off of his lap.
"One second!" I called out nervously, hurriedly searching for my discarded sweatshirt on the floor.
I heaved a sigh of relief as I spotted it, running over to quickly tug it on. I ran my fingers through my hair as I glanced over at Harry, who was now sitting on the edge of the bed with a pillow in his lap.
I rolled my eyes at him, trying to will away the redness that was creeping into my cheeks. He chuckled quietly, winking, and I tore my gaze away from the curls falling across his face and the rosiness of his lips.
I turned my back to him and steadied myself, inhaling deeply as I walked the few steps to the door to open it.
Light flooded into the room, revealing Huck standing awkwardly at the door. His hand reached up to rub against the back of his neck, and he shifted his feet back and forth.
"Hi," I said, attempting to sound somewhat normal, as the adrenaline in my body started to subside.
"Hey," he mumbled, peering around the corner at Harry sitting on the bed, a look of confusion crossing his face, "Uh, so I think it's time that we all talk."
"Okay, yep, sounds good!" I exclaimed, nodding my head a little too eagerly.
"Yeah, okay," he said slowly, a hint of suspicion in his voice, "just meet us in that classroom."
"See you soon," Harry called out from behind me and I cringed.
Huck's eyes flickered between us before he turned and began to walk back down the hallway. The second he rounded the corner, I shut the door firmly.
I crossed my arms and turned to look at Harry.
"See you soon? Really?" I scoffed, somewhat amused by his uncharacteristic response.
He stood up slowly, crossing his arms as well.
"Yep, sounds good!" he mimicked in a high-pitch voice, mockingly waving his hands in front of him. He chuckled softly as he dropped his hands, "Stellar performance, darling."
"Whatever, let's just go," I huffed, turning around to walk to the door.
"Now, hold on," he called out mischievously, and his hand caught my elbow to swing me around to face him.
"Harry," I sighed, with no real conviction, my pulse already racing.
His lips attached to my jaw, pressing quick kisses up and down my neck.
"You sure you wanna go?" he mumbled against my throat.
"Yes," I said curtly.
"Like right now?" he mumbled again as he nipped at my neck softly, his hand pressing gently against my cheek.
"Yes."
"And you're positive?"
I couldn't stop myself from letting out a quiet giggle, and I tried to pull away from him, his arms coming down to circle my waist.
"Come on, this is serious," I whined as he pressed a gentle kiss to the side of my mouth.
A small wave of anxiety spread through me. It was serious.
"Harry," I pleaded gently, the playfulness disappearing from my voice.
He paused, looking up at me as he sighed heavily. He nodded, and dropped his arms from my waist, a hand coming up to run through his hair.
"Okay, we can go," he breathed, his voice becoming somber.
He grabbed my hand in his and began to walk to the door, pulling me gently behind him. He rested his hand on the door handle as he glanced back at me.
"It's going to be fine, love," he urged gently, the look in his eyes sympathetic as he squeezed my hand tighter, "we're going to be fine."
And with that, we walked out into the hallway and hurried to the classroom.
