Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay. I had work and I just started my online class. But I'll work on getting the chapters done as soon as I can. I don't own anything but my OC. If you guys have seen the movie before, I just want to let you know that I'm changing the storyline a bit. As for their ages, OC would be a few years younger so that would make Anita 30 and OC 27. Anyways, here's the next chapter.

Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong!

Big Ben struck 6 times this evening.

I placed my illustrations in my portfolio carefully so that I don't smudge the drawing. I stretched out my body, feeling a few pops in my back. Well that's what I get for staying in one place too long.

"Ugh, finally. Just one more hour and I would have been stiff as a board."

Anita laughed, "Surely, it can't be that bad."

I laughed back. I'm grateful to have her as a friend. I remember the first time we met when I started the internship:

I had been working in my internship for about a few weeks and I'm supposed to get thirty illustrations finished by the end of today. So far I finished half of it. I took a small break to drink some water when I heard a deep voice behind me:

"How are the illustrations coming along darling?"

I nearly dropped my drink, but I remained calm, and turned around to face my boss, Cruelle de Vil. To be honest, he only appeared to be a few years older than me, and yet he has high power in fashion. I have to admit, he does have good taste, but he always rush us to get our work done before the deadline is even due. When I remembered his question, I answered:

"I've finished half of the illustrations sir. I'll have the rest done by the end of today."

Cruelle gave me a devious grin and said, "That's wonderful darling, but I expect those sketches to be finished within an hour."

I was shocked. One hour?! The first half I had done took me half a day to finish. I can't get the other half done within the hour.

"An hour?! But sir I-" I coughed as he blew smoke from his cigarette right at my face.

"One hour darling, or I'll simply replace you. Don't fail me my dear," he said as he walked down the hall to his office.

After he closed the doors, I slowly growled in irritation at his stubborn behavior.

"Ooh, how I want to strangle him for cutting my timeline short," I thought, imagining my hands strangling his pretty neck. I dropped my hands at both sides, sighing deeply.

I shouldn't be wasting time right now; I got to get my sketches done. When I walked back to my space in the corner, I heard a voice behind me:

"Do you need some help?"

I turned around and saw a woman standing before me. She looks older than me by a few years, and based on her appearance, she seemed to have more experience with fashion than I.

Her blonde hair was pulled back in a low bun, and she wore a navy blue blazer jacket with a matching skirt, save for her white blouse.

I looked down at my outfit after observing hers. All I had that's considered professional was a dark grey jacket with a faint stain along with matching slacks and an off-white blouse. My dark brown hair was pulled back in a messy bun since I was in a hurry for work. My black flats was practically worn through, but it was the only pair that I considered decent until I can earn enough money to afford new ones.

"If you can help me get my sketches done within an hour, which is highly impossible," I said to her.

"I can help you get it done in half an hour."

I looked at her in surprise, and I decide to ask her.

"Why do you want to help me?"

She smiled and said, "Because I was like you when I had to get things done sooner."

I smiled back shyly. I never had someone helped me since I've been doing a lot of things on my own. She looked like someone I would depend on.

"I would love for you to help me. I appreciate it," I said as I held out my hand, "my name is (y/n)."

"I'm Anita," she said as she shook my hand.

After an hour passed by, Cruelle showed up at my station just as soon as I finished the last detail of my last sketch. He snatched all my illustrations right off the table and quickly scanned through my designs.

"Well, well, well. I'm impressed darling. And you did it in exactly one hour," he said, "but don't exactly think I'll go easy on you."

"I wouldn't count on it sir. I'll do what it takes to get the work done."

He looked a bit surprised from how confident I sounded. Even I was surprised, but I didn't show it. He then smirked at me.

"I like your attitude darling. That's exactly what I want to see in an employee, especially for an intern such as yourself."

He turned around and walked down the runway back to his office. I was surprised but thankful that he was pleased with my work. I smiled at Anita from across the room as I nodded my head in thanks. She nodded back as she winked before she turned back to her work.

And that's how Anita and I became friends. It had been about ten years since we met, and I was thankful to have her. She was like an older sister that I never had. After I graduated from high school, she was kind enough to let me share a flat with her. I had a full paid job after my internship was over as they believed I had potential and confidence. And by "they," I mean my boss. I was surprised by his praise at my hard work, but if it had not been for Anita, I would've been out of the job and ended up living on the streets. She was there when I had my struggles and was able to help me get through many obstacles over the years. She's the greatest best friend/big sister I ever had, and I would not trade anything in the world for it.
