Chapter 22 ~ Happiness

I watched as Ares and Lily strolled through the palace gardens holding hands, whispering to each other and laughing quietly together. Don't get me wrong I was happy for them but still their happiness was sickening, sighing I leaned more onto the railing of my balcony and shook my head.

"Why are you staring at them?" Reyes asked from behind me, he'd been hanging out on my bed for a couple of days now just to be nice, he'd also been holding my hand and holding me till I fell asleep which was really nice.

"Because I like to watch people who are happy" I said turning to look at him "sides I'm taking full credit if they get married" I smiled as he stood up and sauntered over to me with his arms open.

"Of cause you would" he smiled back at me and pulled me into his arms when he was close enough.

"She'd do the same with us and you know it" I muttered while I buried my face into his chest and beathed in his scent, it felt like that's all I'd been doing lately.

I more felt then heard him chuckle "Oh man" he squeezed me again before pullling my head up to kiss me.

*Later that night*

"So they're holding a trial for Pig Face and his mother" Lily told me as she shoved a handful of chips into her mouth "They're going to be sent home afterwards" she choked out past the wet mound of salt and viniger.

"Finally some good news" I muttered over an explosion that sounded through the TV that we were watching.

"So..." Lily began turning to stare at me she smiled shyly.

"Don't even go there" I said glancing at her now grinning face.

"Oh come on give Mama Lily some details" she then began to talk like she would to a baby.

"How about Mama Lily leaves Papa Lissy alone before she gets a nose job" I said throwing a handfull of chips at her.

"Oh you're no fun" she fake pouted and picked chips out of her hair.

"No I'm a lot of fun and you know it" I grinned at her evily. There was a knock on the door and Reyes and Ares poked their heads through the gap they had created when they opened the door.

"Hey can we join you guys?" Reyes asked while Ares just walked in and sat down next to Lily.

"Sure" I said moving my pillow so he could sit down next to me making his way over to me he sat down and pulled me into his arms and held me close.

"Miss me?" I heard Ares whisper to Lily as another explosion rumbled through out the room.

"Yeah" Lily whispered back with a giggle.

"hey love birds shut your cake holes" I said while Reyes chuckled.

"Did you miss me?" Reyes asked me in a sicklt sweet voice.

"Of cuase my love, how could me day go on without thinking of you every second" I cooed back at him.

"Now it's your turn to shut you pie holes" lily muttered back before kissing Ares on the lips.

Oh yeah things have gone back to normal finally.

It was my 19th yesterday, I honestly don't feel a year older if anything I feel the same as I always do.

I can't believe it's almost the end of the book, just 3 more chapters left to go.
