My Hero Academia - A Simple Night

Chapter 3

Jiro found herself next to Kaminari but both of them were tied to the chairs they were seated in. Her friend was still out cold and she was worried. The room was dark and it was a bit cold. From what she could tell, their captives were not around. "Kaminari, time to wake up!" Seeing that her call to him didn't work, she sent one of her earphones jacks to his ear and plugged it.

The shock woke up Kaminari. "What happened?" He was disoriented and his mind hadn't caught up to him yet.

"Someone knocked us out and kidnapped us." She answered.

"Who would want anything to do with us? If it were the League of Villains, we would be dead." The blonde-haired boy stared. "We just have to figure out who's behind this and take them down!"

"Well, we are strapped to these chairs. Maybe I could use my jacks to help us get loose but I can't see."

"I think I can help with that." He smiled as he began to electrify his body. He was being careful not to let his electricity out due to the risk of shocking Jiro.

With the light being provided by Kaminari, Jiro saw a weak spot in their restraints and used her earphone jacks to start freeing them. As she finished freeing herself, she got up and waited on him to stop using his quirk so she could safely undo his bonds. "I see the spot, you can stop using Electrification."

He nodded and turned off the power. He felt his restraints slowly fall off which made him jump out of the chair. "Now it's time to take down these fools!"

"I think it was too easy for us to get out of the chairs."

"Whether it was or not, we have to get out of here, Jiro!" He voiced. "The longer we stay, the more danger we will be in."

"Okay, lead the way Jamming-Yay!" She laughed.

"Seriously, Jiro!" He frowned. He didn't like that she was making fun of him again. The name Jamming-Yay was the name she suggested for his Superhero name in class which she explained that he may be powerful but he can't control his power enough to not jam his brain. "That's not funny."

"I'm sorry." She apologized. "Let's get out of here, Chargebolt."

He wore a huge grin. "That's better!" He illuminated the room with his electricity. "Looks like there is a flight of stairs over here! Think you can use your jacks to tell where the enemies are?"

"Yeah." She smiled as she plugged into the wall. "Ah!" She winced in pain as she removed the jack from the wall. "The frequency of sound-waves they have coursing through the wall prevented me from hearing anything. It was also very painful."

"Well looks like we're going to have to just hope for the best." He started to climb the stairs with her behind him. "If they found a way to counter your quirk, they probably have a way to counter my electricity."

"That's probably true." She frowned. "How are we going to escape?"

"Don't lose hope!" He smiled. "I will protect you, no matter the cost. As All Might puts it, don't worry because I am here!"

"Kaminari, if you use your electricity too much you'll become stupid!" Usually when she said that it was from a place of joking around however this time it was from a place of worry.

"I take care of you then you take care of me!" He exclaimed as they got to the next floor. The spacious room was bright and filled with people. There wasn't much in the area but columns of concrete.

"Looks like you two finally got here." The giant man from before voiced. "I was waiting until you got up here so I could show you just how ineffective you are. You U.A students may be good but separate you and neutralize your quirks and you are nothing."

"You got something against us?!" Kaminari growled. "Well, you picked on the wrong U.A student! EAT THIS!" He generated electricity and shot it at the man only to see it ineffective.

"You were saying?" The man laughed. "You can call me Wrecker and as you can see your quirk doesn't work against us. We came prepared for your electrification and her earphone jack. Now behold my quirk; Destructo-Fists!" He slammed his arm into the ground causing tremors followed by sending debris at the duo.

Although he was off-balanced, Kaminari pulled his body in front of Jiro's so that the debris would hit him instead. "This guy is powerful."

The people around them all carried restraining gauntlets. These gauntlets were aimed at them which looked like a precaution in the event Wrecker was defeated.

"Why are you targeting U.A?" Kaminari bellowed.

"As you know, The Hero Killer Stain was right." He answered. "You're not worthy of being heroes. As such you need to be removed." He smiled as he slammed his arm into the wall, breaking a piece of concrete. He then used his fist to punch the concrete towards the duo. "Destructo-Jab!"

The shockwave from the punch with the debris created from the smashed concrete shot towards Kaminari, grazing him all over. "That all you got? I've felt worse."

"Kaminari!"

"Jiro, stay back." He held his hand in front of her. "I got a plan. A stupid plan but it may just work. From the looks of it, their gear shields them from my electricity but I think it has a limit and I'll take them down!"

"What?"

"No time to explain, find cover."

"So you got a plan, eh?" Wrecker smiled. "Well bring it on!"

"Kaminari!" Jiro yelled as she got behind a concrete column for protection. "Be careful."

"Got it!" He smirked as he ran forward at them. "Indiscriminate Shock, 1.3 Million Volts!" His electricity shot out and engulfed everyone in the area except Jiro. As he looked, they were unaffected. "Alright, try 2 Million Volts!" His power outage increased as the electricity crackled.

"A little desperate are we?" Wrecker taunted as he prepared to smash more columns.

"Kaminari! You won't be able to handle much more of this!" Jiro cried.

"Doesn't matter!" Kaminari exclaimed as his electricity began changing its color to more of a violet hue. He felt the strain this attack was doing on his body but he still persisted. "Indiscriminate Shock, 4 MILLION VOLTS!"

"Kaminari! Please!" Tears flowed from her eyes as she watched his destructive power. "If you keep this up you will tear your body apart. You could die!"

"I must protect you!" The electricity was beginning to stall the men and that made him smile. He knew he had to push harder.

"Why would you go so far for me?"

"Jiro, you are amazing and I really like you." He blurted out as his electricity started to get darker and redder. "I will go beyond to make sure you are safe. INDISCRIMINATE SHOCK, 5 MILLION VOLTS!" The loud crackle from the electricity was amplified as it struck out.
