My Hero Academia - A Simple Night

Chapter 4

"I will go beyond to make sure you are safe. INDISCRIMINATE SHOCK, 5 MILLION VOLTS!" The loud crackle from the electricity was amplified as it struck out.

The protective suits worn by the men started to fail. Wrecker was starting to be affected by the overwhelming electrical power generated by the determined boy. "But how? You are destroying your body!"

"That's what it means to be a hero!" He winced. "You have to go beyond to make sure you protect everyone no matter the consequences! This is why we will always win!" He screamed in pain as his electricity lashed out more.

"Impossible!" Wrecker yelled before him and his men protective insulators exploded.

After the electricity calmed down, they all dropped to the floor unconscious.

Kaminari was barely standing as light departed from his eyes. He couldn't feel anything and found himself slowly falling. He heard her voice fading away as it was calling his name.

"Kaminari!" Jiro rushed to his side. "You're such an idiot!" Tears fell as she pulled him up. "I'll get you out of here and to the hospital." She struggled to get him up another flight of stairs but as she moved, she prayed that all of their adversaries were defeated. The escape was so near, she felt it. "I prefer stupid you to you being unconscious." The exit came into view and she smiled. "At least I could do this!"

The city outside of their location was loud. Cars roared past them like quicksilver. She grabbed her phone and texted her friend, Yaoyorozu. 'Hey! Don't freak out much but Kaminari and I got kidnapped. We took them down but now we're headed to the hospital.'

She turned off her phone and signaled a taxi.

The taxi stopped and let them in. The taxi driver instantly recognized them due to their publicity with all that happened. "You are Kyoka Jiro of Class 1-A! How can I be of service?"

"Take us to the hospital." She replied. "Please, hurry."

"You got it!" The man replied, taking off towards their destination.

Jiro looked down at her friend who she had laid across her lap. "You're so stupid! What were you even thinking?!"

"Huh?"

"Sorry." She blushed. "I meant my friend here. He got himself hurt for me and I don't know what to do." All that was running through her head was all their moments together. She couldn't help but think about his words back there. "Jiro, you are amazing and I really like you." Was he being serious about his feelings? Was she the girl he didn't find the right time to ask out?

"For what it's worth your friend, Denki Kaminari, cares about you." The taxi driver voiced. "From what I can tell about you 1-A students from U.A, you know the dangers out there yet you stand strong to protect those you care about. Plus Ultra, right?"

"Yeah, Plus Ultra." She smiled as tears fell down her face. "Thank you." She pulled out her phone.

"Don't mention it."

With her phone out, she replied to a worried Yaoyorozu. 'I will contact Recovery Girl and let her meet us at the hospital that way she can heal us up.' She switched over to Recovery Girl's contact and started typing. 'Hey, Recovery Girl! This is Kyoka Jiro, Earphone Jack, from Class 1-A. Denki Kaminari and I were kidnapped and injured tonight and we are on our way to the hospital. Could you please come to assist?' After sending the message, she sat back and relaxed until they arrived.

Upon Arrival, Kaminari was rushed to a room in which she was able to accompany him. From what they could tell, nothing was too serious. Soon after Recovery Girl arrived and examined them both.

"Looks like you two aren't too bad." Recovery girl stated. "You, Jiro, are good enough to go back to Heights Alliance. Kaminari on the other hand will have to stay here until he wakes up tomorrow."

"I will stay with him!" Jiro declared. "It's the least I could do after he protected me."

"Oh okay." She replied. "I will give the report to Eraserhead. What Kaminari did was reckless but with the way your class is, it's not out of the ordinary for you guys to go overboard. I will also share my report with the hospital. You two will have to also talk to the police sometime soon."

"I can talk to them tonight. The quicker this is resolved, the better."

"Very well."

Less than an hour later, Naomasa Tsukauchi and All Might entered the room.

"I'm glad you two are alright." Toshinori voiced.

"Yeah, he saved me." Jiro started to cry. "I felt so helpless, All Might. I didn't know what to do."

"Hey, it's going to be okay."

"I am here to do an investigation on those who kidnapped you." Tsukauchi voiced. Naomasa Tsukauchi was the detective that worked closed to Toshinori and other Pro-Heroes. "Can you tell me what happened?"

"Kaminari and I were hanging out around that new arcade that opened Downtown Tokyo." She started. "Then before we knew it, we were in an underground room. It was spacious."

"Got it. Then what?"

"We got free only to find our captives waiting." She continued. "He went by the name Wrecker and his quirk was called Destructo-Fists. It gave him unnatural strength. He could create tremors and shockwaves."

"There is a guy with that description we are looking for." He noted. "Did he give any indication as to why he would target or kidnap you two?"

"He admitted to following the example of The Hero Killer Stain." She replied. "He said that we U.A students weren't worthy of being heroes and that he would track us down and pick us off one by one. That's all I have."

"Thank you." He nodded. "What about the possible location. Anything you remember?"

"A store named Falafel Party. It was opposite where we were."

"That helps a lot!" The detective smiled. "Looks like we will be able to hopefully take this guy down! Toshinori, Kyoka Jiro, have a good night."

"Thanks for coming." Toshinori smiled. "I'll handle things on this end."

"You got it." The detective left leaving All Might with the duo.

"Are you okay, mentally?"

"Yes sir." She answered. "I'm just worried about Kaminari. Before you say anything, I'm staying by his side until he wakes up!"

"Good." He smiled. "If that's your wish, I'll grant it. I'll let Eraserhead know it's not too serious. Your other classmates will be worried though. I'll try to talk to them." He made his way to the exit. "Get some rest and return when he wakes up. Good night."
