3rd POV:

Nightmare was in his room thinking, him and his gang just got in a fight with the star sanses after trying to destroy a forgotten AU... none of them was hurt physically but Dream really did hurt Nightmare mentally. Dream was one of the only sanses of the multiverse that actually cared about Nightmare, he would always try to "save" him, talk to him and show him that he only wanted to help. At first Nightmare thought that it was annouying and useless, but now that Dream totally gave up on him he felt hurt... really hurt.

Flashback to the moment of the fight:

The bad guys were about to destroy an AU when a portal opened, the star sanses came out of the portal ready to fight... Nightmare's gang than started attacking the heroes of the multiverse. Cross and Dust were fighting Blue.. Horror, Error and Killer were fighting Ink.. and Nightmare ofc was attacking his brother, Dream.
But something was off, Dream wasn't talking nor trying to help his brother, he was just sending arrows towards Nightmare. "I see that you finally understood that i don't need to be saved" said Nigtmare as he was dodging Dream's attacks. "I always knew that there was nothing to save, but i tried and did my best to show you that this isn't the answer to your problems... but you never listen to me, so i have no choice but to kill you to finally protect the universe from people like you!" This sent Nightmare off guard, Dream wants to kill him.. he didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry. He looked at Dream in the eyes, and for the first time there was no sympathy in them... Dream really did give up on him.

End of flashback:

People would think that Nightmare would be happy with the idea of Dream leaving him alone, but he wasn't happy at all. It just made him feel like a part of him broke.. as if he wasn't worth anyone's attention and affection.. he knew that it was his fault, and he could never forgive himself.

Horror's POV:

Today was a very long day, the star sanses really do love ruining the fun, bc of them i had to drop all of the meat that i had collected in the AU that we just attacked ;-; .. talking about the attack, boss didn't seem okay when we finished the mission, he would always yell at us once we are back to the base. But today was different, he just walked straight towards his room, the others just brushed it off as nothing thinking that if he didn't yell today was bc we did a good job.. but i just feel like there's something wrong, when he was fighting Dream i couldn't help but notice that he wasn't attacking like he usually does... he seemed to hesitate before each of his attacks. I'm sure that something is wrong.. and the only way for me to be sure about it is to go check on him.
I walked up the stairs and went towards Nightmare's room, when i was infront of his door i began to hesitate... but i knocked on the door anyways. Nightmare didn't answer which made me worry even more, i knocked again and still no answer.. i turned the door knob and was suprised to see that the door was unlocked, i walked in the room only to see Nightmare sitting on his bed, he seemed to be lost in thought... i walked slowly towards him and taped on his shoulder, his tentacles sharpened slightly ready to attack, but when he saw that it was only me he calmed down a little and wore an angry expression on his face. "What are you doing in my room ?!", "sorry boss, i just wanted to check on you and so i came here, i knocked on your door two times but you didn't answer so i came in..." when i finished explaining the situation his facial expression turned from angry to pissed... but there was also a little bit of confusion too. "What do you mean by check on me? I didn't get hurt while the star sanses were attacking...", " i know boss, it just seemed like you were down or that something was bothering you." After finishing this sentence there was silence in the room, it can only mean one thing.. i was right! Something is wrong with boss.

Nightmare's POV:

Most of the AUs think that Horror is the stupidest sans of the gang, but it was all the opposite, he was actually really smart and he also seemed to notice things that others didn't, so i wasn't really suprised when he noticed that i wasn't myself... i just don't know if i should talk to him or not. He could use my new weakness to bring me down, or he could help me get over it... you know what, fuck it.. "it's just that, i feel like i'm not worth anyone's time... Dream may be annouying most of the time but i really apreciated when he would always try to get closer to me or even talk with me, and now that he wants to kill me and doesn't want to "save" me i just feel like i made the biggest mistake of my life... maybe if i just desapeared Dream would be happy again."
I was chocked when Horror wrapped his arms around me and pushed me closer to him, i couldn't help myself but blush. "don't say that Nightmare, if Dream doesn't love you for who you are and is trying to change you than he isn't worth your love, and even if he doesn't care about you anymore than just know that i care about you and that i will never leave you no matter what..." this is the first time in ages that i actually feel loved for who i am and not for who i used to be, i hugged him back and buried my face in his chest, and then fell asleep in his warm embrace.

The next day:

I woke up feeling warm and safe, things that i would never usually feel in the morning. I tried to remember what heppend yesterday when i felt someone push me closer towards them. I turned around ready to attack but stopped when i saw horror cuddling and hugging me, i blushed a deep cyan blue and decided to stay in bed a little bit more just to enjoy this warm feeling. "Good morning" I couldn't help but blush when he kissed me on the forehead, "talk about this to anyone and i swear that i will kill you".
