Chapter 28: Date with A'Xian

"A'Xian, what do you like to eat?" Lan Zhan asked as he sat beside A'Xian and gave him a carton of chocolate milk drink. They are seating on a park bench, A'Xian sipped on his drink as his feet are swinging happily, his cheeks are full of smile, the reason is that Lan Zhan took him out again. As a kid, his consciousness is not steady yet. He's still innocent to romantic love, yet, he doesn't know why he was drawn to Lan Zhan, he just felt that whenever he's around he's heart rejoice.

Lan Zhan took him out again, he always does it every Friday. He's spoiling him too much. Xue Yang just let Lan Zhan have his way since he knows how much Lan Zhan misses Wei Ying. It was more than a hundred years, who would have not missed the one they love in those years of longing?

"Lotus root pork rib soup!" He answered and giggled as looked at Lan Zhan.

Lan Zhan's ears flushed red. He was too cute to handle.

"Why do you want that?" He asked.

"Shijie always cooks for me." He tittered as his cute feet are swinging.

Lan Zhan smiled, "Then let's go eat some lotus root pork rib soup." he said and patted his head.

"Mn!" A'Xian nodded happily with his eyes sparkling.

Lan Zhan held him on his waist and helped him jump down.

He giggled, "That tickles hihi." He tittered. Lan Zhan smiled at his cheekiness and held his small hands.

They went to his car, his secretary is driving them. Mr. Lee was still confused, it's been weeks that Lan Zhan's mood changed from his indifferent usual self to his cheerful unusual behavior. But he cannot question his boss. He sighed as he watches Lan Zhan and A'Xian sitting at the passenger seat on the rearview mirror. He's confused about why is he running after the kid and willing to cancel his works just to spend time with him.

"Uncle," A'Xian suddenly uttered that made lan Zhan look at him with his brows furrowed. He's not used to A'Xian calling him uncle. And the thought of Wei Ying calling him that makes him cringe.

"Please don't call me that, call me Lan Zhan," Lan answered and patted his head.

A'Xian tilted his head, he's confused why Lan Zhan doesn't want him to call him that?

"Why do you not want me to call you uncle?" He asked.

"Because it makes me look old." He lied and smiled at him.

"But you are older than me," A'Xian said with curiosity in his voice.

"Do I look like I'm an uncle?" Lan Zhan asked.

A'Xian shook his head, "Handsome!" He giggled.

Lan Zhan laughed at him. "So call me Lan Zhan, okay?" He said.

"How about gege?" A'Xian asked again.

"hm, I prefer Lan Zhan." He tittered, A'Xian just giggled at him.

They finally arrived at a restaurant where A'Xian's request was served.

A'Xian held tightly on Lan Zhan's hands. The place has lots of customers, he's afraid that he might get lost.

Lan Zhan looked at him when he felt the uneasiness of A'Xian. He smiled and carried him on his arms.

"You're son sir? How adorable." The receptionist pointed out upon seeing them.

Lan Zhan faked a smile, "No," He answered.

"Oh, hehe. By the way, sir, do you have a reservation?" The receptionist asked awkwardly. She suddenly felt death from the 'no' answer to Lan Zhan.

"I don't have, you have vacant seats?" He asked.

"We do have sir, This way." She said and guided them to a vacant seat.

Lan Zhan put down A'Xian on the seat opposite him when they arrived.

"What do you want to eat besides Lotus root pork ribs soup?" He asked.

"Only Lotus root pork rib soup!" He tittered as he closes and opens the menu book, playing with it.

"Okay then," Lan Zhan answered and called for the waiter to give their order.

"Drink milk first while we wait." Lan Zhan said and gave him the glass of milk he specially requested earlier for A'Xian.

A'Xian smiled widely and grabbed the glass and drink all of it in one go. "Ah" He exclaimed after finishing it.

Lan Zhan chuckled at his adorableness.

Just then their order arrived. A'Xian's eyes twinkled at the food in front of him.

"You can eat all of that." Lan Zhan said as A'Xian just stares at the food with his mouth-watering.

"Reallyyyyy?" He asked excitedly.

"Yes, so dig in." He said and pinched his cheeks gently.

"Okay!" he giggled and grabbed his spoon and fork and muffled food on his mouth.

Lan Zhan giggled at the sight, he cannot focus on eating because his attention is fully focused on A'Xian.

A'Xian noticed Lan Zhan not eating. He tilted his head as he looks at lan Zhan.

"You want lotus root soup too?" He asked curiously.

Lan Zhan smiled at him, "No, you can eat all of it." He said and ruffled his hair.

A'Xian didn't seem to care about what Lan Zhan said and scooped a spoonful of Lotus root pork rib soup and turn to Lan Zhan.

"I'll share mine!' He exclaimed and wait for Lan Zhan to take the food.

"You can eat it," He chuckled.

A'Xian pouted when Lan Zhan hesitated, "Eat it!" He sulked.

Lan Zhan chuckled at his stubbornness and gave in, "Okay, okay." He answered and opened his mouth and let Wei Ying gave him the spoonful.

"Yum," Lan Zhan answered and chewed on the food. If A'Xian has the built of Wei Ying, he already pounced at him right now from his cuteness.

"Right, right? I told you it's delicious!" A'Xian giggled and muffled his mouth. His feet are swinging with happiness.

Lan Zhan nodded and watch A'Xian enjoy his food.

After some time, A'Xian finally finished his food. Lan Zhan watched him the whole time and never touched his food because he's to mesmerize on A'Xian. While eating, Wei Ying's figure appears on Lan Zhan's eyes as he watches A'Xian. But he always shook it off since A'Xian is still a kid and not to be pounced off. He sighed, he still needs to wait until A'Xian grew older.

Lan Zhan took A'Xian back to his school, A'Xian always kisses Lan Zhan on his cheeks as a goodbye kiss. A'Xian did that unconsciously. 'Maybe his inner Wei Ying is working on him' He thought as he smiles to himself. At least he always got a souvenir with him, enough for him to last for a week until next Friday comes.
