his legs dangling off the dark coloured rock, a ball of grey light in his hands, he threw it across the hall, catching the ball bouncing back to him. with a bored face, felix sighed and twirled the ball in between his fingers. he looked into the pond of dark red and glanced at the reflection of bright white clouds in it.
he didn't mean to kill her. it was his job to protect her but what could he do? it was due to cancer, even as an angel he couldn't stop it.
"great, now im stuck here." he rolled his eyes and threw the ball in the air and caught it again.
"felix lee." the mentioned boy turned his head and met the eyes of the high commission. felix scoffed and twirled the ball, "what do you dipshits want?"
they exchanged looks. the shortest one of the spoke as he turned to the rest, "you really want him back?"felix chuckled, "jeongin i now youre still angry at me for destroying your medal collection but is the resentment still there?" he mocked and glanced at the boy with a cheeky smile. Jeongin growled and cleared his throat, "i don't want you back but they said they needed you in heaven again." felix nodded reluctantly and made a 'continue' gesture, catching the ball again in his hands lazily.
"we're assigning you another human."
felix's eyes shot up wide and he sprung from the rock he was leaning on."what?"
another angel came from behind, his bright wings blinded felix's eyes, its been so long since he saw those colours, "we're giving you another chance. we need you back, are you up for it?"
"what's in it for me?" he asked, the grey ball still floating in his hands. jeongin snapped and pushed the front angel aside, "we already told you, you get to come back. are you deaf?"
"relax, jeongin. stay calm." another placed his hand on his shoulder.
felix couldn't deny the excitement that grew in him. to go back to his home? and get out of this hell hole, literally. even his wings started to absorb the colour black and red. but he kept his expression cool, he leaned back into the rock, "im intrigued. continue."
"do you want the job?"
"i dunno. sure i guess, i mean, whatever." felix shrugged and threw the ball again. the commission nodded their heads and they spoke, "we'll come back to you once we have gotten the details of your new..human." felix waved it off and acted cool. he heard their wings fluttering up into the sky, leaving him underground. he watched as their silver bright feathers flapped, one fell from the sky and the boy effortlessly caught it. his thumb ran through the soft feather and he let it fall to the ground.
"damn, you angels are really controlling. don't you ever like, la vida loca?" a voice spoke behind him. felix chuckled and threw the ball to him which the brunette effortlessly caught.
"you can say it like that. that's why i prefer it here, i feel so free," felix sighed in relief and let his wings lift him into the air and glide around the other boy. the boy asked, "are you really going back?" felix stopped gliding around him.
"i guess kook. this place is cool and all but...its not my home." jungkook sighed, "i get it. no offence but if i ever got trapped in heaven i think it'll be worse than hell." felix laughed and wrapped an arm around him, "don't worry bro, me too to be honest."
jungkook threw him the ball back, "so, how's it feel, having the chance to go back?" felix shrugged, "i dunno, it's exciting but i have to take care of a dumb human again."
jungkook gave him a look. felix noticed it and avoiding eye contact, "i don't want the same thing to happen again."
"it wasn't your fault."
"they think it is," felix muttered. he heard jungkook scoff, "then they're stupid. no offence." felix chuckled, "none taken."
jungkook punched the side of his friend's arm, "you know if you go back you have lots of rules to pay attention to."
felix sighed and sucked a breath in, "i'll just follow your words then. 'rules are meant to be broken.'" felix glanced to his side to see jungkook rolling his eyes and laughing, "you're gonna get kicked out."
the two boys leaned on the rock and stared up at the bright sky together, the red moon lighting it up like a velvet.

"how many times must I tell you? put your phone away!" minhee raised her voice and crossed her arms at the five juniors in front of them.
"you're not the boss of us!" one of them called out, waving her phone in her face. hyunjin rolled his eyes and pointed and finger at all of them, "you joined this dance group for a purpose and it's certainly not sitting down placing with your phones." he scolded them but only to receive rolling eyes.
"he's right. if you want great scores for your class, you have to work for it. it's not just leaves you can pluck from a tree!" haeyi backed up and stomped her foot. One of them stood up and placed her phone in her pocket, "well if that's the way it is, we'll skip this class." one by one they left the dance room, leaving the older seniors speechless.
"we're you're fucking seniors!" minhee took her water bottle and smashed it on the floor.
"I swear to god if they're not our juniors their faces would look the bloody slug by now," he sighed and held minhee's arm back to prevent her from destroying other things.
"ugh the freshmen this year, gosh," haeyi groaned and connected her phone to the room's speaker.
"let's just choreograph ourselves. they have to learn it either way. It either with our guidance or without it," she glanced back at us with a smile. Hyunjin nodded and returned it back, "i like the way u think. "
Minhee stepped forward infront of the mirror stretching and sighed, "im sorry this happened on your birthday, hyunjin..." he waved his hand away and gave her a reassuring smile, stretching down reaching his toes, "its fine, juniors are juniors even if this cohort is a bit of a bitch."
"happy birthday tho," she chuckled and he nodded away to the beat with a smile. it's gonna be a long day, huh.
