Forbidden Love

Prologue

It was a time like no other, when mythical creatures existed and flourished alongside humans. Before the war came and ripped families and alliances apart; before being anything other than human was a crime. A long-awaited union between witch and werewolf was supposed to be the saving grace but ended up being the end of life as it was.

"Do you, Aeron, take Leia to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The werewolf, Aeron, smiled as he lifted the veil on his soon to be wife. Her gold eyes shined with happiness as she took his hand and squeezed gently placing his hand on her gently bulging stomach.

"I do. With all my heart." He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her gently.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. Seems like you've already kissed the bride so let's eat!" every laughed as Aeron lifted Leia off her feet and carried her down the aisle. Everything was perfect until the church doors swung open. A coven of witches stepped forward, throwing back their dark hoods.

"Sister! What is the meaning of this!" Leia cried as Aeron pushed her behind him, growling loudly.

"This union is blasphemy, and the Coven of the Divine will not allow this to happen!" Leia's sister, Alizon raised her hand and summoned a blue flame.

"Mother banned you for your beliefs. You have no right to do this! The union is already done." Leia stepped from behind where Aeron shielded her, revealing her growing belly. Alizon screamed as her eyes burned a bright red. The other witches behind her gasped and started to murmur.

"Mother was a joke. An old woman past her prime. I'm the elder so I am the leader of this coven!" The flame extinguishes as Alizon reaches into her cloak and pulls out a severed head.

"Mother!" Leia screams. The other witches stare in disbelief and start to move towards Leia, forming a circle around her... ... Alizon smirks as she throws the severed head towards Leia.

"Union or no I am the leader now and I forbid this... abomination. Don't worry dear sister I'll be back. And this time you won't have your precious witches and werewolves to protect you!" With that Alizon disappeared into a thick veil of smoke.
