😚 First Kiss 😚

GUYS I JUST HAD TO WRITE SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AJSNDN

"And I love you, Queen Poppy," Branch said. He had finally been able to confess how he felt towards his best friend, the pop queen, Poppy.

Poppy's eyes lit up and her smile widened. Branch actually loved her. She didn't think he would reciprocate her feelings. For the first time ever, she said to him, a bit shyly, "I love you, too, Branch."

Branch smiled greater. He had been afraid of rejection. But her smile was so genuine that he could tell she had been hiding certain feelings for a while.

"Shall we?" Branch asked and held his hand up. Poppy knew exactly what he meant and took a few steps back. She also held her hand up.

They ran to each other and SMACK! Perfect high five! "Now that's a good connection!" Poppy said. She remembered when they couldn't do a good high five.

They were each a couple of feet away from the other. They took a moment to let it sink in that they loved each other and  This was one of those situations where they were, like, automatically together because they confessed and they knew it was.

Poppy got excited, knowing that she could finally call Branch hers. Without missing a beat, she jumped on Branch and gave him a short kiss.

Branch looked shocked. Poppy took a step back nervously. She said, "S-sorry, I- I got a bit eager, I-" Then she got cut off when Branch wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into a hug. He laughed.

Poppy immediately put her arms around his neck and hugged back, nuzzling her face into his chest. "Why are you laughing?" She asked.

Grinning, he said, "Because I've always wanted to be able to do that to you. But it seems like you beat me to our first kiss." He laughed again.

Poppy smiled with relief. He wasn't mad at all. Then the snack pack and leaders came up to them. They clearly saw what was going on.

When Poppy and Branch saw them, the let go of each other, breaking away from the hug. Essence smiled and said, "Congratulations you two. You seem like you were made for each other."

They blushed. Everyone started talking to new couple. Most of the snack pack was saying they knew the two would eventually get together. The leaders asked questions like how she started to fall in love with him and vice versa.

Soon, they left the two alone. Thankful for the peace and quiet, they went to a little room, hoping not to be seen, not wanting any more attention.

Branch looked at Poppy, wondering what he did to have the queen love him back. Poppy caught him staring at her and slightly blushed. "What?" She asked. Branch just smiled and said, "What did I do to deserve you?"

He grabbed her hands and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Poppy's eyes widened, but she quickly melted into the kiss.

After a few seconds, Branch broke the kiss. Poppy's cheeks turned a dark pink. Branch chuckled, knowing he'd caught her off guard. "You look like a strawberry," he joked.

Poppy giggled. "I.. I love you," she said. Branch said, "I love you too, Poppy." The smile wouldn't come off his face.

"C'mere," he said. Still having his arms around her, he grasped her cheeks and nuzzled his nose with hers.

Poppy loved it. She loved the fluttery sensation in her stomach that he gave her when he's around. She loved how he would do anything for her. She loved him.

They were still very new to this relationship, but having had feelings for each other for a while, they couldn't help but be a bit affectionate. They wanted to express how much they loved the other.

Poppy's eyes sparkled. She asked with a smirk, "May I?" Branch, knowing what she meant, he said, "Of course." They leaned in and kissed once more.

They held onto each other tighter, not wanting to leave the other's arms. It has been one of the best days of their lives. They stayed there for a while, wanting to kiss each other all day.

OMG GUYS AHH I THINK WAS SO CUTE  AJSNDN I FANGIRLED SO MUCH WRITING THIS I meant for it to be only that one little part we see in the movie, but I think it turned out better this way. :D
