Chapter 6_ Hazel Eyes

"She's a mess of gorgeous chaos, and you can see it in her eyes."

Early morning hunger was the worst.

"OMG that's my egg." Shareefah mean mugged Fati who was sharing the freshly fried egg to Ayisha and Aliyu.

"Fry another one." Fati picked another egg from the crate and handed it to her.
Shareefah glared at her.

I giggled at the little show while leaning on the kitchen Island. My cup of tea in hand and Mabkhara right in front of me as I lean in further for the lovely scent of the bakhoor to hit my face, but instead the smoke seems to want to head towards another direction, as I glare at it then wave my hand to lead the smoke towards me instead as the appealing scent hits my face.
Husna giggles at me and I just goofily smiled.

I absolutely love bakhoor, it was just thing was just life.

"Okay, Ali, Ayi..." Fati called grabbing her handbag, all dressed up for work in her white nurse scrub, a long sleeve white top underneath, and a white baby hijab wrapped around her head.

"Mommy's going...now you two behave okay, don't trouble your Aunts okay." She cautioned the kids who all came up to her for a 'bye-bye hug', looking especially at Aliyu.

"Okay mummy." They both said as she kissed both their foreheads, then went back to their foods.
She then turned to the rest of us.

"Ku Kuma ku kiyaye fah (You people, all of you be alert oo), remember, once it's eleven start preparing lunch." She directed the last part towards Hauwa.

Hauwa just rolled her eyes. "Yeh yeh."

And soon she was exiting the front door.

I sigh, keeping the bakhoor aside, as I picked my almost empty cup of tea and downed everything in one gulp before washing the cup in the sink.

I then head back upstairs to go take a bath. It was around seven fifty- something so we woke up pretty early for people who slept by 2am.
I have a slight head ache though.

Soon I'm out of the bathroom.
Today's quite the lovely Friday that makes you feel like getting dressed to the nines.

I throw on a simple bright orange peplum style atamfa blouse with dark blue flower details and a few lace works attached to the chest area, together with an ankle length sewn straight skirt which also had a few flower details on it, before tieing the head tie on.

I felt like going for an all natural look today so I don't do any make-up and just apply some lip gloss.

I then lit up another bakhoor and stay beside it to allow the scent envelope my body.

Hauwa came in just as I finished, as she plugged her phone to charge then proceeded towards the bathroom.

"Yawwa, before I forget to tell you, Hanifa said she'll be coming over today." She then turns to tell me now standing by the door as she then heads in before I could even reply.

I decided to briefly sort out the stuffs I'll need tomorrow, cuz my traveling bag was unnecessarily way too full and the zip might get spoilt.

My make-up kit was the main thing occupying space so I brought it out first.
I then decided to also sort out my outfit for tomorrow since I was super excited.
Taking out the plain white long sleeve top, blue jeans, and plain white kimono, I ironed them then brought out my white scarpin peep toe heels and setting them up.
I know it's a bit too early for this but I just felt like it I guess.
