Present Time...
Rue moaned softly as she woke up to hands upon her. They were rough with calluses and signs of hard work as fingers brushed against her bare skin. Wait, was she not clothed? What was this sensation all over her that kept sending chills and pleasure through her?
A tongue slid along her neck, teeth grazing against her jaw. Blinking away the blurriness, she shifted her legs and tried to press them together, but something solid was between them. Her mind faintly registered a pain at her pelvis that was mixed with pleasure and something wet was on her thighs. The hands on her were gripping both hips, holding her down against soft fabric as the teeth bit down against her shoulder.
Breathing raggedly, she fought through the blurriness and realized Kage was hovering over her, hips pressing against her own. Oh, God, she thought as she felt him grind against her, inside her. Oh, God, no. Benjamin, help me! No! Both hands grasped onto her upper arms as those sharp teeth sank deeper into her shoulder, eliciting a choked whimper from her. The feeling between her legs was bad enough, having him slide in and out of her like some doll, but the bite felt horrid. It felt like liquid fire was spilling into her blood, touching deep into her flesh to cut at her bones.
And then she screamed.
Jerking up from where she lay, Rue looked around as she tried to catch her breath. Both hands felt along her body, happy to have fabric between her fingers and the skin of her body. Ocean blue eyes darted around to see cages and a desk, sounds of animals chirping and hissing softly as the metal clanged. Though she could not see them, the animals were obviously there and watching her.
"You're awake." The familiar deep voice sent a chill down her spine. Turning her gaze toward the doorway of the room, she saw Kage stepping into the room, gold eyes peering down at her from behind those dark locks of hair. "You sounded as if you were having a fit. Are you all right?"
Surprised at his concern, the ombre haired girl nodded slowly. "Why...why am I here?" She almost whispered and gestured around the room with a hand.
Without answering, he stepped over to the desk and set a large box atop it. Turning to the right, he pulled open one of the cages and slipped a hand inside. The cloak upon his back shifted and slid back with the movement, revealing what looked like a large tear in the fabric at his left side. Unable to get a closer look, those blue eyes looked up at his hand as it pulled out of the cage, a bat-like creature clinging to his hand and wrist. "Do you know what this is?" He inquired as he closed the cage and stepped toward her.
Staring at the small animal, Rue shook her head. It was obviously a bat, much like the ones she had seen in all those books growing up, but it was wrong. The ears were more like a cat, wings covered in fur and feathers. The eyes were big and wide, bright as the sun when they turned to face her. What was it?
"It is a Mutant, much like most of the people here, myself included." He explained as he crouched next to the girl and held his hand out to her. "This is Nen, a little one I rescued a year ago from that rat of a teenager you were fighting against. If he is smart, he let himself die on the floor of that room." The bat squeaked and crawled to the large fingers of the big male, reaching out with a thumb toward the petite girl.
Hesitantly, she reached up and let it crawl onto her arm. Climbing up to her shoulder, it nuzzled against her cheek and let out a soft purr. Giggling, she gently pet its soft head and looked toward Kage, noticing the huge tear in the side of his layered shirts again. Part of the fabric was darker, wet looking. "Are you hurt?" She asked.
