Toph.

Dang, Sugar Queen is tough.

Needing a break from wedding planning, dresses, the girls decided that a good spar was exactly what they needed.

After Suki and Ty-lee finished their round, it was Earth against Water.

Katara was actually giving her a run for her money.
She used the determination of an earthbender, the force of a firebender, grace of a waterbender and lite footing of Twinkle-toes.

She ain't playing, Toph thought.

Just as she was getting into her next stance, she felt a pair of running feet and a very fast heart beat approaching.
And she knew exactly who they belonged to.

"Oh man, it is hot! Suki, Ty-lee! Let's go grab some drinks!" Toph said straightening up.
It's about time that boy makes his move.

Suki and Ty-lee, who had been sitting in the shade, watching the two benders exchanged a confused look.

"But aren't you-*

"Now!"

Seeing a panting Zuko come to a stumbling stop at the edge of the yard, they got the hint and scrambled to their feet, rushing to follow her.

She grabbed Aang's arm, who had just arrived, munching on an almond cookie, and left the two love birds alone.

They better name their first born after her....

Katara.

She was completely confused.

Toph had never just up and quit in the middle of a spar.

"Toph?! Where are you-"

"Katara."

Hearing Zuko's voice behind her, she spun around with a hand to her chest.

"Zuko?! Don't do that! You almost gave me a heart attac-"

"You." He cut her off. His voice breathless.

"Huh?" Okay now she was really confused.

"That night, on the balcony, I wasn't coming to tell you I was with Mai. I was coming to tell you, I wanted you."

She felt hot and cold at the same time.
Had she really heard right? He had wanted her? Did he still?

The look on her face must have given her away, cause one minute he was about five feet from her and the next he was so close, his familiar scent of cinnamon and sandalwood enveloped her.

"I still do. Katara, I love you. Be with me. Let's make up for the past five years. Now, please."

Instead of answering his plea, she grabbed the front of his shirt and standing on her toes, kissed him with all the love and fire of the five years lost.

Zuko

He had been terrified.

He had even almost talked himself out of telling her a few times on the way.

What if he ruined everything?

But he had to take that chance, that risk, cause he knew if he didn't, the rest of his life would be haunted by what ifs.

So when she crashed her lips to his, his heart stopped and jump started tenfold.

Wrapping his arms around her waist, he kissed her back just as hungrily.

Fire on fire was the best way to describe it.

All too soon, she pulled back.
Only to say the words, that will stay with him forever.

"I love you too Zuko."

Smiling at the beautiful woman, his beautiful woman, Zuko felt on top of the world, like nothing could ever touch them....

If only he had known.....

Aang.

"Uh, what's going on?" He asked the blind girl clinging to his arm.
Not that he minded but still.

"Don't worry Twinkle-toes. You'll find out." She answered with a huge, beaming smile.

"Oh. Okay." And finished his cookie.

His friends had been acting a little odd lately. Mainly Zuko.
He'd caught him a few times with a glare in his eyes whenever Aang was standing or sitting next to Katara.
But before he could wonder about it too hard, Zuko would look away.

And he won't even get started on Toph and Sokka.

What the heck is up with these guys?

Oh well.

Suki.

"No Sokka, I don't think Momo needs his own little suit." She said as she reached up to scratch behind the little lemurs ears, perched on Sokkas shoulder.

Momo chirped happily at her touch.

"Aw come on love! Just picture him in one that matches mine!"

Even Momo gave him an exasperated look.

"So....." She started, unsure how to breach the subject.

Sokka waited for her to continue.
Agni she loved this man.
Even the beard.

"Well.... I was just wondering what you'd think about...uh...ya know.
Zuko and Katara?"

He seemed to ponder the idea a moment, before his eyes lit up and the smile that made her knees go weak appeared on his face.

"I think, that it's about damn time."

Her heart swelled with happiness for her sister.

"Now come here you!"

She let out a squeal as her soon to be husband picked her up and tackled her to the bed...

Momo let himself out the window.

Zuko.

Zuko woke up in his bed the next morning, soft brown hair and the smell of rain and waterlilies surrounding him.

He smiled and pulled her closer.
This was how he'd get to wake up every morning for the rest of his life.

He had no idea how they had finally made their way to his bedroom.
But, oh he was so glad they did as he breathed in her scent.

She stirred, arching her back in a stretch before turning in his arms to face him.

"Good morning handsome." She said with a sleepy smile.

"Good morning beautiful. Hungry?"

"Starving."

Chuckling at her reply, he gave her a quick kiss before hopping out of bed to get dressed.

As he was pulling his shirt over his head, it hit him.

No nightmare last night.
For the first time in years, he slept well. Great even.

Turning back to Katara getting up out of his, no, their bed now, Zuko felt more alive then he ever had.

He had no idea, that his world, was about to come crashing down...

"Thing's have changed. We move tonight."

"What?! But that's not-"

"Do not question me! You WILL do as I say! We move tonight!"

They were shaking at this.
They were the one that would die if thing's went wrong.

Not her.

"Of course, forgive me.....my lady."

"You are forgiven...this time."
