Raven POV:
"Oh my goodness" I say almost tripping. "How can anyone walk in these. I feel like my feet are about to fall off". I take off the pair of high heeled boots that I'm wearing.
A girl that I now know as Amanda is laughing beside me taking hers off too. I laugh with her.
As I've come to know her over the past week I realized how cool she is. She loves drawing and Artic Monkeys. She's like my sister of another race. Tristen and Dayton who are in front of the jacket racks join in laughing too.
"That's the price we pay for revenge" Amanda feings being serious but fails as she comically tries to adjust the extra tight pair of leather pants that she had to squeeze into.
"Yea I can see it now" Tristan extends his arms "Revenge. A dish best served in Luis Buttion high heels. Now that's way better than anything Sheakspare thought of". We laugh at his corny joke.
Here we were at a store that I've never been to. Dayton pointed it out on our way to the movies. "We might as well do some scouting right?" He had said.
It was part of our plan to overthrow the school patriarchy. First dress the dress. Then talk the talk, act the act, crush the people at the top and then rule the school.
"Ok guys" a short girl that we know as Kiera comes out one of the dressing rooms. She has dark red straight hair and green eyes. She reminds me of Merida from Brave but when I pointed it out she just shook her head and said noo. Elmer added her to our small chosen group a few days ago when she begged to still be added two days after the meeting that we found out the plan. She said she had been sick and that's why she couldn't make it. Finally he gave in.
She's in a skin tight black dress that is way too high on her really pale thigh. We can even see her spiderman undies. We all break out laughing including Kiera.
Until that moment we didn't realize just what the popular kids went through to look good. These tight clothes and uncomfortable shoes. Dayton had to take off a pair of jeans after he kept on falling down in them. They stopped at the center if his butt and wouldn't go higher.
"I don't think this will work" he had said looking like a little kid who grew out of his clothes but still wanted to make them fit.
That was the first of many laughing fits we had had in the store. The store clerks now looked at us like we had two heads. But we couldn't stop.
During the past week or so I often found myself thinking where all these people had been my whole life. I passed them in the hallway everyday and never said a word to them.
The only people I associated with were Tristen and once in a while Dayton. But now here I could have sworn I've know thses people my whole life.
I cringe at the fact that I wouldn't have if it wasn't for Tristen forcing me out at 9:40 at night to trudge in the snow to the football field.
Because I'm classified as a loser.
"Ooo" Amanda says getting up, her bleached hair bobbing in its ponytail, and grabbing a crop top.
"What about this". She raises her eyebrows trying to be seductive and pouts her mouth.
We all start another laughing fit.
She struts up and down the aisles saying "Work it baby. Work it".
I grab a over huge hat and sunglasses and join her marching in sync.
Keira adds in with a mix matched pair of pumps and a belt.
Tristen grabs a tie and watch shimmying towards us. This makes us laugh even harder.
