once they neared the place that jinkyong used to call home, an unsettling feeling filled her stomach. she couldn't help but feel anxious. not knowing what would happen- there were a plethora of things that could.jinkyong was still confused on everything that was happening. according to gangfan she was a pure bread vampire- but that info hasn't fully hit her yet. and then according to renmei her mother wasn't really her mother, and was also a witch so.. yeah kind of confusing for a person that hadn't been enlightened enough on the creatures of the underworld.
"kyo, we're here." renjuns voice cut her out of her momentary trance, her eyes meeting his with a worried stare. "nothing will happen. i wont let it." he shook his head, grabbing her hand and helping her out of the car.
"goodness. cozy little house isn't it? too bad a snake lives in it." mrs. huang smiled sourly, saying the last of the sentence in mandarin so that jinkyong couldn't understand, in fear the girl would be offended in any way.
"does auntie know mrs. choi?" nina whispered to her uncle, raising a brow at her aunt who was scowling to herself. "don't ask me. i wouldn't know." gangfan shrugged, going up the steps to the tiny light blue home to knock on the door.
"how longs it been since you came here?" renjun asked as they waited for someone to open the door. jinkyong didn't say anything, only shrugging at the vampires words.
she was a afraid that if she spoke, everything would go south. so she chose to stay silent.
they waited a bit longer before the door swung open, revealing a woman who wore a purple sundress with her hair done up in a bun.
"why are you here?" she hissed at renmei, glaring at the vampire before her eyes landed on jinkyong. she was about to say something but renmei had cut her off.
"listen minjun-" "it's minjung." "right. is jihoon home?" the woman raised an eyebrow, authority emitting from her aura.
you would think gangfan would be the scary one because well he's the king of vampires and the underworld. but boy was it far from that.
"why do you need to know?" minjung said sassily, standing her ground. "just answer to her..." jinkyong mumbled, an icy gaze on the woman.
"no he's not home right now. he's out working at his shop." she answered monotoned, with a straight face. "well that's great. we can just talk to you then." gangfan smiled, his eyes glowing red in a way to threaten the woman.
"what is this all about?" minjung scoffed out, not liking the energy.
renjun had continued to hold jinkyongs hand, pulling her closer when he realized she was shaking a bit. nina was right next to her, rubbing her back.
"i want my son's girlfriend to know the truth. i want to know the truth as well." renmei said simply. jinkyong was all too thankful for this family. although the two adults had just met her, they were already helping her a lot.
"girlfriend?"
"that's not the point minjoon. let us in before we let ourselves in." gangfan sighed, his aura becoming a lot darker. minjung looked defeated, stepping to the side and letting them walk in.jinkyong quickly walked past her, reciprocating the dirty glare minjung was giving.
"now let's get started shall we?" renmei raised an eyebrow sitting in the main chair of the living room while her husband pulled a chair next to her. the three other vampires had taken a seat on the medium sized couch, looking annoyed.
"there really isn't anything to start on." the witch folded her arms, standing in the middle of the room. "how about we start on the fact that jinkyong here isn't your real daughter? how about we start on the fact that she's a pureblood vampire and you and jihoon never thought to tell her or have her to become a full fledge at the right time?"
well damn renmei wasn't playing no games.
she really wasn't. sorry for the cliffhangers guys i'm in La now and still have school so my mind is gone but love y'all
