Khushi looked at Anjali as she sat and thought hard about something while looking at the jewelry presented by the jeweler.
She smiled at the woman, this classy looking woman who had a child like thinking. She is looking at the jewelry not because she wants to buy it but she rather wants to not buy but her grandmother would be upset if she didn't chose anything. It is too tiresome to think about this.
Her face lit up as she decided to go for whatever her grandmother chooses is right strategy.
It was easy to choose from the start but if she doesn't use her brain to make something out of nothing, it won't be her anymore.
Khushi moved to the kitchen and took out the cake she was told to bake by Aakash and placed it in the middle of the dining table.
She did other preparations as her heart skipped a beat when she saw the same smirk on the same man for whom she whispered those... praising words. She wasn't embarrassed of them at all, no, she was happy she too felt the feeling of fangirling. It was a nice feeling of getting all clumsy.
She liked it when he smiled in the most beautiful way with his eyes twinkling. His sister too was clumsy on that day, just for different reasons.
She listens to what his eyes says nowadays and she knows it will be a tough journey with his hungry and possessive eyes giving her every hint she needs, that she ignores.
He has taken her words by allowing her to do as she wishes but one mistake and her life will be in his hands. She doesn't know what that would mean for her but all she knows is she can't break the hope she gave them, she can't be ruthless and she won't be.
She looked at him and saw him move towards her and stopping when he was mere step away from her and bent his head till his eyes were on the same level as his.
"Smells nice." His words were straight and she didn't know what to say. He was praising her for the cake, she decided but his eyes when stared into hers deeply she knew, she most definitely knew just how wrong her decision is and yet she didn't wanted to know the real truth.
It was dangerous... he was dangerous.
She nodded and thanked him while again moving to the kitchen when Anjali came and looked at the cake while running around the table and trying to touch it when her hand was stopped by khushi.
"Anjali ji, you can't eat it without everyone." Khushi said with a smile to which Arnav looked at her and said "it's just some frosting, let her taste khushi."
Khushi looked at Arnav and then at Anjali who as if understanding the meaning in her gaze moved back and stared at the cake with a naughty gaze.
Arnav smiled at his sister's mischief filled eyes and moved away from the two knowing that they can handle eachother well and they should, afterall they will be living together for their whole life.
Khushi looked at Anjali who was even though helping her with the dishes and plates, her whole attention was on the cake.
Khushi smiled and finally turned to eyes away from the child who finally stole the frosting away with utmost care and ate before anyone saw her. It was pretty when she heard a beautiful sigh leaving that child's mouth.
Khushi controlled her laughter looking at Arnav standing away and looking at the happening with eyes that shone like diamonds. He nodded at her while she pretended to ignore him.
Maybe, her eyes did search for him. Maybe, she was waiting for him to meet his eyes with hers but, there was always something that bursts out and break hearts with a but... and she is searching for a but to save herself.
She moved to the kitchen after her work and stayed inside while the family came to eat lunch. There was a female servant who will tell her if anyone needs anything. She rested her leg a bit before jumping down from the counter and making a fighting pose.
Arnav who came to call her looked at her with his mouth turning into a small smile. This girl, is an enigma surely.
He smiled at her and told her to come to the dining hall and dine with them while khushi refused to which his answer was glare, glare and more... glare.
Khushi finally agreed after noticing how he won't move until she followed him and moved outside with him.
Devyani smiled at the development and told khushi to sit right beside Arnav who happily served her making other look at him in wonder. Such a tamed lion, interesting...
Anjali wasn't in the least bit interested about what her brother was doing, she rather helped khushi with her servings. She was way too happy to notice her brother while chatting away with her aim and role model.
A person with such strength even when everyone tried to push her and told her to back off, is it easy? It isn't and she will also atleast walk a street where she will be someone like this courageous woman too. Just wait for it.
Arnav smiled at khushi as she thanked him for serving her while moving her chair away. His smile widened as he noticed her red cheeks, his charm always works on women.
