(Y/N)'s POV
I stood a few feet away, at my locker, as Morty talked to the girl of his dreams...Jessica. The most popular girl in school.  "H-Hey, J-Jessica" Morty said with a smile.  Jessica looked over, looking slightly disgusted.  "I-I was w-wondering if y-you w-would like t-to go o-out some t-time?" He looked so nervous.  "Eww, no. Your way to unpopular." Jessica said in a snobby tone.  "O-ok" Morty said tearing up.  He ran off, and I went to follow but stopped. I spun on my heel to face Jessica. "Fuck you, your a slut anyway" I spat out, chasing after Morty.  "Morty?" I called out once I was outside.  I heard quite sniffling, and followed the sound, seeing Morty curled up under a tree crying.  I say down beside him, hugging him.  I slowly got him to lay down with his head in my lap. "Shh, is alright." I say in a soothing tone as I slowly ran my fingers though his thick brown curls.  "I'm ugly, that's why she doesn't like me." He started crying harder. I hated seeing my best friend this way. "Aww, no, she doesn't know what she's missing." I rubbed his head softly. I hate Jessica so much, how could she do this to such a sweet boy.  "I'll never get a girlfriend, no one will ever like me" he said between sobs.  "Morty look at me." I said sternly, and he sat up looking at me, tears still running down his face.  "You are way to good for her. She's lucky you ever even looked at her.  You know I wouldn't lie to spare someone's feelings, so you know I'm telling the truth." I would lie to spare Morty's feelings but he didn't need to know that, and I'm not lying now.  "come here" I said patting my lap, and he straddles it, hugging me, crying into my shoulder.  I was rubbing his back softly with one hand, and I had the other in his hair.  "Its ok" I said softly, I felt his breath steady slightly, with the occasional hiccup every now and then.  "How about we go get a milkshake, my treat." I feel Morty nod into my shoulder, then he started slowly getting off of me.  I stood up, grabbing his hand and helping him up.  Once he was standing I switched which hand I had his in.  There were still a few tears falling down his face, but his breathing was stable, besides the hiccups.  I kissed his cheek, we'd been doing that for years, whenever one of us was sad the other would kiss their cheek. Thats probably why everyone thinks we are gay. "Come on" I pulled him with me softly.

By the time we walked into the icecream parlor Morty had completely calmed down.  I glanced at him, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze.  We walked in, and the cashier said hello. There weren't many people here. "What do you want Morty?" I asked in the sweetest tone possible.  "chocolate" he said softly, and we walked up to the cashier. "One chocolate, and one (F/F) milkshake please." I payed and we were told to grab a seat.  We got in a booth, closest to the register.  "Whos this for?" I heard one of the workers ask the cashier, and the cashier replied "that couple, in booth one.". I looked at the card on out table, and it said one.  Morty seemed the notice too, because he looked at me, blushing, then our hands, that were sitting intertwined on the table. Surprisingly he didn't pull his hand away though.  I smiled at him, and he layed his head on my shoulder.  I layed my head against his, as the worker came and have us out milkshakes.  "Want to stay here, or is there somewhere else you want to go?" I asked softly. He grabbed his milkshake taking a sip before replying, "the park?". I grabbed my milkshake "Alright, let's go." I kissed his nose before standing up with Morty.

I sat down on the swings, after throwing away my empty cup, and Morty sat beside me. I looked up at the stars shining in the sky. "Do you feel better?" I asked, swinging lightly, Morty said a quiet yes, before I caught him staring at me.  "What?" I asked with a head tilt, and his reply shocked me.  "Your so cute" he seemed in a daze as he said it.  Suddenly he shook his head, and seemed shocked "uh, i-i, umm, nothing" he smiled nervously at me.  I shoved my feet into the sand, making my swing come to a abrupt stop.  Before Morty could react I had pulled his swing over to mine, by the chain.  Slamming my lips into his.  I pulled away, standing up, off of my swing.  I started walking towards a hill, and I heard Morty scrambling to catch up with me.  Once we finally got to the top of the hill I laid down, with Morty and that's how we spent the rest of the night
