Matt and Shiro added a couple more words over the hunt coming up before everyone soon left the room in a slight rush. The air stayed tense and thick almost making it unbreathable. James, Allura and Romelle all soon rushed to their rooms, the doors slamming and the keys turning to lock them like something would try to break in.

Keith went out on a run to sort out his emotions without harming anyone and Matt went for a walk, just needing some air. Adam calmly walked upstairs and Shiro soon went upstairs after him, his own bedroom door closing before Adam cries were heard and Shiro comforting words soothed the air.

Coran started dusting the mansion even though it seemed rather clean already but he was most likely just trying to clear his head. Shay ran out the room with Hunk soon following and the two crying could be heard in the kitchen.

Pidge, well Pidge stayed where she was sitting beside a confused Lance.

"So, what is this hunt and should I be scared? Because everyone else doesn't seem to be taking the news very well" Lance asked with slight fear as he turned to look at Pidge

"What do you think a hunt is, its a fucking hunt and we're going to be the hunters its just we won't be hunting the normal prey" Pidge snapped back making Lance flinch. 

"Sorry" Pidge muttered as she looked away after feeling Lance shake a little.

"No it was my bad too, I guess that was a rather stupid way of asking about it and well the air already tensed and awful. I just made it worse a little and gave you an opportunity to snap without thinking. Don't feel bad" Lance smiled as he glanced to Pidge who looked at him surprised. 

"I still shouldn't have taken it out on you, that was my bad. Its just as you can see these hunts aren't a good thing becuase they're not a normal hunt. Its a cruel and horrible event but we have to go or we'll lose respect. Its a hard time for us all since we know the fate of the hunt and us if we refuse" Pidge explained in a small pained smile and she fiddled with her hands. 

"What type of hunt is it? I mean hunting rabbits or birds wouldn't make everyone turn so pale. Sure, you can still hate the idea of hunting and feel sick from the thought of it but as you told me its not a normal hunt. Just what do you hunt?" Lance mumbled as he held his hands together, resting them on his lap and looking to the floor.

"We hunt humans" Pidge answered in a cold and dead tone making lance freeze before turning to her with wide horrified eyes.

"Y-Your j-j-j-joking right" Lance stuttered in fear as he met with Pidge eyes seeing no humour within them but just cold and dull hazel eyes staring back.

"We hunt humans, we hunt them down like animals and kill them. We become hungry beasts chasing their prey .. that's the cost to keep this mansion safe but its a cost we're willing to carry for life" Pidge answered without any regret making Lance just look at her stunned. 

"I think I'm going to be sick" Lance yelp as he quickly slapped his hand over his mouth, gagging a little while Pidge patted his back a little. 

"Lets take you to the garden, I'll grab you some water on the way .. its gonna be rough for you since its your first time hearing of the hunt. I'll ask one of the others to explain it better for you and pass on the rules" Pidge muttered as she stood up, holding lance arm and helping him to stand. 

"Will the water and fresh air help?" Lance asked with slight hope as they started walking.

"No clue but its better then you throwing up on the wooden floors" Pidge grinned making lance weakly chuckle.

"Your nicer then you act huh" Lance teased and Pidge rolled her eyes.

"I just don't want you stinking the mansion up with puke" Pidge sighed as they walked on.

Pidge got the glass of water from the kitchen before they stepped out of the back door. Walking around the side of the mansion and sitting on an old wooden bench pushed to the mansion wall. The garden was well taken care of and Lance would have been amazed by it if he didn't want to throw up. Pidge stayed sitting beside him, not saying a word but just staying close and lance was rather glad she did. 

Time lance did glance up it was after he felt Pidge staring at something and he soon found out what. Matt was walking aimlessly with dull eyes. He seemed like an empty cell just walking steadily without a location to reach. His mind and heart was on total shut down, not noticing anything or anyone around him.

"I'll be back, maybe my brother can tell you more over the hunt or we can agree that Shiro will be best to do so. Stay here" Pidge finally spoke after their thirty minutes of silence and running over to her brother.

Matt didn't notice her heading over not until she held one of his hands in both of her own and pulled a little, taking care to not harm her elder brother. Lance watched as Matt turned to Pidge before shaking his head a little and having life return to his eyes. A charming smile filling his lips as he looked to his sister before using his free hand to ruffle her hair. 

"I think we should tell lance, I know its only his first day here but he should know the hunt rules before he's forced to learn about it the harsh way. Who would be best, You or Shiro since I think Keith might be a little harsh due .. well, you know why" Pidge spoke up with a slight smile but her eyes showed her true emotions. 

"I would say shiro but we know how Adam is over a hunt. I don't think Shiro will be free for the rest of the day" Matt answered with a slight frown as he glanced to Shiro bedroom window seeing the Alpha standing and just holding a crying Adam in his arms, trying his best to comfort the Omega. 

"Will you be up to it?" Pidge asked unsure as she glanced to the window seeing the state of Shiro and Adam before turning back to her brother. 

"I can explain it to him nicely but maybe Keith should tell him, once they hear we grabbed a new pet , we will be expected to bring him. He might be able to miss this months hunt but by next month we will have to force him to come. Might be best to take him this month, break it too him while he still new to us and due to him being new to our household it might be easier to cover up his mistakes around us during the hunt" Matt replied as he rubbed his neck, his other hand hanging by his side now while Pidge hands were dangling by her sides. 

"Maybe your right, we have forced the others to all at least go once, some have promised to never return to a hunt making those who's willing to come limited" Pidge sighed as she glanced to Lance.

"I'll find Keith, at least then Lance can decided if he wants to come this month or nexts. It gives him time to think over this, Keith won't hold back any truth and make sure Lance knows just how awful a hunt can be and get. It gives lance a chance to prepare his mind, something not always of us was able to do" Matt mumbled as he glanced to Lance.

"No, I'll fetch Keith its better if I do. He'll still be taking his anger out on his run and he always feels extra bad whenever he snaps at you. For his shake, its best If I'm the one to find him and take his frustration before bringing him back, you look after lance for me" Pidge spoke up, patting her brother shoulder as she hopped back. 

"Be careful, I know Keith will never hurt us but if he loses his cool he doesn't always know his true strength" Matt warned out of worry and Pidge gave a friendly smile before running off. 

"Come on Lance, lets get you to the Omega lounge to wait for Keith. You two would have some privacy to talk inside"  Matt smiled with care as he walked over to the taller boy. 

"Where's Pidge going? Did something happen?" Lance asked with worry, turning to Matt before looking toward the woods where Pidge ran off to.

"She's just fine, she's gone to fetch Keith for me. He'll be the best person to talk to you over the hunt and, well, he'd explain the offer as well" Matt weakly smiled before offering his hand to Lance ready to help him up to stand.
