I hear the ambulance's sirens get louder and louder. Doors slam and people yell. I hear footsteps. The shoes slap against the asphalt on this glorious day. I open my eyes a little bit and the pain washed over me. Footsteps get louder and louder as they come toward me.

"Woman. Looks about 16?" One man says.

"Check her heart." The woman says.

"There's a pulse." The man says after a few minutes.

How did I get outside? Where's Oliver? My mind raced with thoughts.

"Looks to be that this woman's name is Gaia." The woman says.

"1,2,3!" The man counts as they lift me onto the gerne. They strapped me down. The push me and lift me onto the back of the ambulance.

"She went through the windsheild and anything on the man?" The man says.

"No sir. They haven't gotten any pulse. They said his head hit the steering wheel with such force that his skull broke." The woman says in return.

"Are they transporting him to the hospital?" The man says.

"Yes. They are doing CPR now." The woman says. I felt her breath near my ear and she whispered," Hang on kid. Can you hear me?" This time she lifted my eyelid and shone a light in it.

I groan. Possibly the smallest groan ever.

"I've gotten a response." I woman said happily.

"Ma'am! Ma'am how old are you?" The woman asks.

I held up 10 fingers and then 8.

"She's 18." The woman says to the man.

I groan and toss to my side. The straps stop me and I gasp in pain.

"Hey! Look at that monitor." The woman says. I look that the monitor. Different colors, lines, and numbers. Noises beeping and numbers changing.

"Looks weird doesn't it?" The woman says.

"Uh... Huh." I grimace. The ambulance comes to a stop and the back doors swing open. They load me off the ambulance and wheel me into the emergency room. a couple of nurses run along side me as the EMT's push me into the Operating Room.

"Any sign on the boy?" One nurse asks the man EMT.

"In critical condition. They are stabilizing him now." The EMT sounded sad.

"Okay honey," One of the nurses was talking to me," I'm going to put this mask on you and your going to sleep. You are going to be okay." And with that she gently put a mask on my face and breathing evened. My eyes drooped and soon closed.

A Few Hours Later

My body was screaming to wake up. My eyes wouldn't open. I groaned and tried my hardest to open my eyes. They peeled open. I was sitting in a hospital bed. What day is it? The room was that average hospital room the bed and a few uncomforatble chairs. There was a small T.V. and there was a curtain pulled out. There was a shadow. A male shadow. My heart leapt. Oliver? I turned in my bed and found the nurse button. I tapped it and waited. Within 30 seconds a nurse strolled in.

"I'm so glad you are awake!" The nurse said.

"Me too." I replied.

"I'm Miss Rosa." She said.

"What happened? Where is my Oliver?" I start to tear up.

"Your boyfriend? He's right over there! And you did fine on your surgery. They fixed your broken nose. The surgeon repaired his back. He had a slight fracture in his lower back and Oliver might have a small memory loss from the fractured skull. He also died in the surgery but we brought him back. He's okay."
