It was already the first Wednesday of September. I was on my way to Elbi Commons, a coffee shop slash study hub, with Mich and Nat. May gagawin kasi kaming paper and none of us wanted to go home yet since maaga pa naman.

We entered the shop and placed our laptops on the table after ordering. I got a caramel macchiato and pesto, ito kasi 'yung lagi kong inoorder dito. Patapos na akong kumain when I felt my phone vibrate, so I checked it. Nag-chat si Jordi. In-add niya kasi ako sa Facebook after following me on Instagram.

"Nako, isusumbong ko 'yan kay Tita Anna. Nagsasayang ng gas, amputa!" Sabi naman ni Nat.

Um-oo naman sila after nila ako inasar at chinat ko ulit si Jordi.

Lumabas ako ng Commons at tumawid papuntang McDonald's. Buti nalang magkatapat sila so I didn't have to walk for long. Nakita ko agad si Jordi na nakaupo sa may tapat ng Dunkin' Donuts.

"Boo!" Ginulat ko siya.

Parang wala namang effect sa kanya. Tumawa lang siya at tinignan ako. Bwiset, nagmukha tuloy akong tanga. He got his food na ubos na pala and stood up.

"Hi, Emilia. You look cute in your uniform," sabi niya habang nakangiti. He threw his trash in the bin bago lumingon ulit sakin.

"Let's go?" Sabi ko, not wanting to look at him in the eye. Baka asarin na naman ako, e. Feeling ko namumula pa ako.

Tatawid na sana kami pero huminto siya bigla. "There's a car approaching. Stay by my side." Sabi niya in a protective manner. I transferred to his right.

Pumasok kami sa Commons and everyone was staring at me. May something ba sa mukha ko? Na-conscious tuloy ako. Ah... kaya pala. Kasama ko nga pala si Jordi. Hindi pala sakin nakatingin. May mga lumapit sa kanya't nagpapicture. He kindly accepted and smiled at the camera. Lumapit na kami sa table after his mini fan meet. Iba talaga 'pag sikat. Hindi ko tuloy ma-solo. Joke!
