Chapter 10: An Appointment

Marinette checked the calendar; today was the day. Chat waited patiently at her balcony as Marinette went to talk to her parents. "Bonjour," Marinette said, gathering their attention. "I am going to the ultrasound appointment, but I would like to go alone; with the father," Marinette smiled.

"You can get a chance to meet him tomorrow," Marinette added. "We'll have a nice dinner, tell us everything after," Her mom smiled. "Thank you," Marinette hugged her parents. "I'm going to be late," Marinette forced herself to run.

She got to the balcony as Chat watched her panting. "You shouldn't tire yourself out, princess," He reached for her arms. "I'm fine," he breathing steadied. "We're going to be late though," Marinette said as Chat picked her up as they made their way to the office.

"Which way," Chat said pulling up a map on his baton. "There," Marinette traced the path with her finger. "Got it!" He lept as Marinette held onto him tighter. "Slow down!" Marinette clung onto him.

"I thought we were going to be late~" Chat winked as Marinette groaned. "Where do I de-transform..." he looked at an alleyway. "We got no time!" Marinette practically dragged Adrien as he de-transformed fully.

"Okay, okay," he went into the office as Marinette check herself in. "Dupain-Cheng," Marinette said as the secretary motioned for them to sit. "I've never been to one of these before," Adrien said as Marinette giggled. "You just have to stand there," Marinette replied.

"Come with me, Marinette," the doctor smiled as they both followed. Marinette sat in the long chair, pulling up her shirt to reveal her small baby bump. "You didn't tell me you had a baby bump," he kissed her hand.

"I thought it was obvious," Marinette said as the doctor walked in. "Okay," the doctor put some gel onto her belly and rubbed it. "Wow," Adrien breathed, looking at the screen with Marinette. "You've been taking your pills, right?" the doctor checked. 

"Every day," Marinette replied. "Well, you can see more clearly now," the doctor adjusted the screen. "He's so amazing," Adrien breathed as Marinette giggled. "'He' has a name," Marinette said as Adrien laughed.

"He does?" Adrien asked.

Marinette became slightly uncomfortable. "W-Well I was thinking of naming him Hugo, I've been planning that for a long time. If you're okay with it," Marinette added the last part. Adrien smiled, kissing her hand. "It's perfect," he smiled widely.

"So, you're the father," the doctor said as Adrien nodded. "You guys are a cute couple," the doctor finished writing something onto the paper. "Ask for these the next time you go to the pharmacy," she handed it to Marinette.

"Don't worry, I'll get these," Adrien said, taking the paper. "If you say so," Marinette got up, pulling her shirt back down. "I'm going to book the next appointment, you stay here," Adrien said as Marinette giggled.

"I have a feeling you haven't told Mr. Agreste?" the doctor said as Marinette shook her head. "We'll tell him, eventually," Marinette breathed. "Be careful," the doctor said as she left.

"Okay, the 27th next month," Adrien said as he handed Plagg some more cheese. "Let's go," Marinette said as Adrien transformed. He picked Marinette up and took her back to the balcony. "Before you go," Marinette held onto his tail.

"My parents invited you for dinner, as Adrien," Marinette said as Chat nodded. "7 o'clock," she added. Chat smiled. "I'll be there," he kissed her forehead. "Stay safe," he said as Marinette waved to him.

"Alya!"

Alya smiled. "I didn't mean to scare you, your parents said you were at an appointment," Alya added. "Marinette sat down. "Who was on the balcony?" Alya leaned in. "N-No one. Just looking at the view," Marinette said as Alya crossed her arms.

"I'm predicting it was the father," Alya smiled. "And the only one who could drop you off at the balcony could be a superhero, and I know that it wasn't Ladybug..." Alya's eyes widened.

"YOU DID IT WITH CHAT NOIR!?"

"Shush!" Marinette told her to lower her voice. She then sighed. "Yes, yes I did," Marinette sighed. "But, I need to tell you something, since I know you will get all suspicious," Marinette said as Alya leaned in.

"I and Chat decided that Ladybug and Chat Noir would date and Adrien and Me would date," Marinette said quickly. "So Adrien is Chat," Marinette said as Alya blinked. Alya then hugged her laughing. "You did it with your crush! I'm so proud," Alya said as Marinette pat her bag.

"Doing it wasn't part of my to-do list with Adrien. It happened by accident because of Hawkmoth," Marinette reminded Alya. "But still," Alya smiled.

Marinette shrugged. "You can't tell anyone," Marinette added as she nodded. "Of course," Alya winked.

"Thanks, Alya," she hugged her friend.
