You may notice that this story bears a strong resemblance to the popular children's book series Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter. Although the characters in my story are named very similarly to the characters in Warriors, I have no intention of replicating the story at all. The characters in this story are anthropomorphic wolves with magical powers. They do not lead a normal, organized lifestyle like the one shown in Warrior Cats.
I have high respect for the team behind the writing of Warrior Cats, and I do get a lot of inspiration from them. I do not wish to show their work as my own, or show my work as a fan fiction of their work. Shadowpack is an original story created by a group of middle school students (now in high school). It has its own unique story and plot lines. Only a few elements from the Warrior Cats story are incorporated, but are altered to fit the story of Shadowpack. Please do not report my story for plagiarism. Instead, tell me what seems a bit too similar to Warrior Cats and give me suggestions on how I could change it.
