"Pull over, let me drive for a while"
Rantaro watched as Kokichi tapped the stirring wheel in beat with the random song playing over the radio, mumbling the lyrics he clearly didn't know. Kokichi was bored like usual and decided he wanted to go to a place a few hours away from their shared apartment.
"come on ranran! It not like we have anything better to do!" Kokichi whined shaking Rantaros arm. "Kokichi the mall you want to go to is 6 hours away" he scoffed lightly pushing Kokichi away. "But ranrannnn! I'm bored"
"you're always bored. And plus you'll whine the whole time about it taking to long." Rantaro said amused as he glanced at Kokichis phone that was shoved into his hands, the screen displaying the directions to some random mall that he wasn't even sure if Kokichi had been to before.
"have you ever been here before?" Kokichi let out a scandalized gasp "of course I have! Is my beloved doubting me? How mean... And I promise I won't whine!" Rantaro was sure that something that he just said was a lie "I'm not doubting just curious." he put the phone back in kokichis hands "if you want to go we'll go, just let me get ready" Kokichis eyes lit up which was followed by a wide grin "YAY taro you're the best!" he through his arms around the other. Rantaro had no idea why he agreed to this
Rantaro remembers the morning clearly, as looked in the back of the car the only bag he could make out in the dark of the car was a brightly colored paper bag from some candy store. They only stayed for two hours and just like Rantaro predicted Kokichi whined the whole way there. But Kokichi decided to be the one driving back. it was now the late hours of the night and kokichi seemed out of it and that he just wanted to be home. "hey kichi" Kokichis head perked up a little "hm?" "pull over" "what why?"
"Just pull over, let me drive for a while" Kokichi shook his head running his free hand through his hair not taking his eyes off the road. "there's only like an hour left there's no point" "then just let me drive the rest of the way home" "ok fine" Kokichi quickly pulled to the side of the road.before switching spots with Rantaro
"We are never doing this again," Rantaro said getting back on the road. "yeah..." Kokichi replied already drifting off.
