Grace's POV

As I walked into school the day after the Ferry boat incident, I looked for Jackson. I had to end whatever it was I had going with him. I still like Peter and it isn't fair for me to Jackson for me to like Peter and be with him. Jackson doesn't deserve that.

I walked to my lock and noticed Jackson there waiting for me.

"hey, I need to talk to you" He told me before I could open my mouth.

"Ok"

"Um, we have to end whatever it is we have going on here" I looked at him. Did he know? "Yesterday before school, Spiderman paid me a visit and told me that your dad sent him to tell me to stay away from you. I'm sorry but I don't really want to be on Spiderman or Iron Man's bad side" I nodded.

"It's okay. I totally understand" He smiled and I took a deep breath. I saw Peter walking into school. I really wanted to yell at him right here, right now but then everyone would know his secret. I walked up to him. "Look I know you are sad right now because my dad took your suit but if you ever interfere with my dating life again, even on my father's orders. Losing your suit will be the least of your worries"

"He told you didn't he?"

"Did you think he was just gonna end it with no explanation at all?" He looked at the ground. "Look, I'm more mad at my dad than I am at you. He shouldn't have put you in this position."

"It's alright. I mean, he can't anymore"

"I'll talk to him. He might just need a day to cool off" Peter was about to say something else but he was cut off.

"Mr. Parker, can I have a word with you" Principal Morita asked and Peter nodded and followed him. I went back to my locker and grabbed what I need.

"Hey Grace, have you seen Peter?" Ned asked.

"Principal Morita wanted to speak with him"

"You don't think he's gonna be expelled do you?" I shook my head.

"Probably just some detention."

"Want to go find him with me?" I nodded and closed my locker. "Can I ask you something Grace?" I looked at Ned, expecting him to ask me an Avengers question. "Do you like Peter?"

"Of course I like Peter. He's an amazing friend" I tried to pass it off but I think Ned knew. "Okay. Yes I like him. He's the first person to not treat me different because of who my dad is. When we first met he was cool."

"Why didn't you ever tell him?"

"Because he likes Liz" I answered. We reached the Principal's office and we waited outside for Peter.

"You know-" Ned was cut off, after Peter opened the door. "Are you expelled?" Ned asked him as soon as he walked out. "Are you gonna have to go to school on 46th where their principal has a crossbow?"

"Pretty sure that's an urban myth" I told Ned and he shrugged.

"No, I'm not expelled."

"You're so lucky." We went through the rest of our day. At lunch, instead of going to the cafeteria I decided to join Peter and Ned. They were rebuilding the lego Death Star. I couldn't help but think about what Ned was going to say.

There is no way he was going to tell me that he liked me. Right?

I looked at the clock.

"Shit. I have to go. I have homecoming stuff to do" I packed my stuff together. "I'll see you guys at the dance right?" The both nodded.

I walked to the gym, "Sorry! I lost track of time"

"it's alright. Just get started with the decorations please" I set my stuff down and went to where liz told me to go.

*After Liz comes back from talking with Peter in the Hall*

Liz came back from going to the bathroom and had a smile on her face.

"Guess what just happened" She ran over to me.

"What?"

"Peter asked me to Homecoming" My heart sank a little.

"That's great Liz" I hugged her.

"Yeah, now you, me, Jackson, and Peter can all go together." I knew I forgot something.

"About that. Jackson and I aren't really a thing anymore. My dad had Spiderman threaten him" She frowned.

"I'm sorry" I shrugged my shoulders.

"it's okay. I'll just go solo. I don't mind." She nodded and we both went back to what we were doing.

After we were done decorating the gym I said goodbye to everyone and went home. I got into the car with Happy and was silent.

"You okay kid?" I looked at Happy through the rear view mirrors and shook my head no.

"I don't get what I'm feeling Happy."

"What happened?"

"Boys suck" He nodded.

"That's more Pepper's territory. Why don't I take you home and you can talk to her." I nodded. The rest of the drive home was silent. I walked in through the door and threw my backpack down before running to Pepper's office. I walked right in and closed the door.

"Grace? What's wrong" At this point I had tears in my eyes. She came over and hugged me.

"I think I'm being dramatic but I can't help it." She gave a little smile.

"That comes with being a teenage girl." I smiled. We went over to the little couch she had in her office and sat down. "Now tell me what's wrong"

"It all started two months ago when Dad and Cap were fighting..." I started my story. I told her how I thought Peter was funny and how I started to develop a crush on him, then how I though I was over it but then he saved me and it brought it all back. I told her about Jackson and how dad made Peter threaten him. And then today about how Ned didn't finish what he was saying. And then about how Liz and Peter are going to homecoming before.

"Oh sweetie" Pepper just hugged me.

"So now, I don't have a date to homecoming and I have to watch my best friend go with the boy I like." I wiped the tears from my eyes. "I was never this emotional before I went to school. Why am I now?"

"Because before, you weren't a normal teenager." I made a face at Pepper. "It's true. Most kids don't graduate college at fifteen just so they can bet their father." I laughed. "Going to High School at fifteen, when you are supposed to be, it messes with your emotions. It's called Hormones" I shook my head.

"What do I do Pep?"

"You are going to get in the shower. You are going to wash your face, and then you are gonna get ready for homecoming and show Peter, and Jackson, and every other guy at that school, what they are missing out on"
