HARRY

"Harry, we caught a Pharaoh bastard lurking by the border. Let's say we give him a warm welcome to Feroce Lupus." Luca grinned twistedly as he barged into his Alpha's office. Harry raised his cool gaze from the tablet he was looking through to regard his younger cousin.

"Where is he?" He asked with a cocked brow as he watched the dark excitement dance across Luca's face.

The Pharaohs were a rival pack who were gaining power in the west and becoming a fucking pain in the ass for Harry. Their leader Jabari was a psychotic dickhead with loyal soldiers who just loved to turn up on Harry's territory every now and then like the rats they were.

"At the Sweet Spot, maybe we can get some intel out of the fucker." Luca responded pulling a knife out of his holster to twirl it in his skilled hands. "You're the best at this shit, if there's anyone who can make him open his mouth it's you."

Luca wasn't wrong, Harry was incredibly skilled in the art of torture without letting the victim die. His interest in medicine allowed him to keep his victim alive whilst also being able to extract answers easily.

Harry smirked briefly before standing and beginning to role his sleeves up his forearms. Luca inclined his head in respect and pressed his palm to the area where his Feroce Lupus tattoo rested over his heart. Luca was passion embodied inside a human being, he was emotional which often led to many angry outbursts but his loyalty was incomparable.

Luca drove the car hurriedly across Harry's territory to head towards the strip club where they conducted a lot of their business. The Sweet Spot was chosen because it was a neutral spot that was also unassuming. Harry had never wanted to bring such business to the house so instead turned the downstairs of the strip club into a basement where they kept a lot of the prisoners.

He most definitely didn't want to bring such business back to the house now that Aurora was also living there. She was from Lotus, she wasn't used to such bloodshed and violence and he knew she would react badly if ever faced with it so directly. Ilara was different, she had been a part of this pack for many years now and was accustomed to the ways of her new family but Aurora was not.

Harry had an inkling she never would be either, she didn't seem the type to get used to violence and bloodshed. She was kind, and he figured she would remain that way.

It was strange, having a soulmate. He knew he had one out there but he hoped for her sake he never found her, he wasn't normal, he couldn't give her what normal people could. Yet that day when he saw her, he knew, his wolf knew.

It was the first time in years he had felt a zip of emotion run through him before the numb calm settled over him again. Something strangely possessive filled his chest. She was his, his responsibility and his soulmate. He would keep her safe and as well as he could. He couldn't promise her anything further than that because he was fucked up.

He didn't feel emotions, the only feelings he ever felt were pain and pleasure but emotions? No. He preferred it this way. The lack of pity and guilt made him the strong Alpha that he was, made him indestructible.

He wasn't sure what to make of Aurora yet, she was submissive and docile so far. He hoped she stepped out of her shell at some point as he needed someone who could talk back to him without passing out from fear. There was no use in having a woman who was too afraid to tell you her thoughts and opinions. She also needed to tell his cousins whenever they bothered her instead of quietly taking it.

He could defend her from Luca but that would be pointless and was something she needed to learn how to do herself.

It was difficult trying to gauge her emotions whenever Harry was with her, he didn't feel emotions so recognising then on someone he didn't know that well was hard. He had taken to holding her wrist so he could feel her pulse which was a good indication to when she felt frightened or excited.
