when i arrived at the fair i scanned the crowd for a bleach blonde head. but no matter how hard i tried i couldn't find her. a pair of hands grasped my eyes from behind and i heard giggling behind me.
"guess who?"
"the boogie man" i chuckled as i took her hands and spun her around. then i got the change to really look at her. her hair was shinning in the lights of all the rides, her blue eyes had a excited gleam to them, and the edge of her lips were curled and rested in her dimples. she looked happy to see me or at least i hoped she was.
"sorry i'm late i had to help clean up the lab. someone dropped a beaker of water." she apologized while she tucked her hair behind her ear. she does that when she's nervous. Gwen had been an intern at Oscorp Bio-lab for about a year now. i also applied for the internship but my parents refused to sign the papers.
"oh no it's fine, i literally just got here." i could she the relief on her face.
"now that we're both here, let's go!" she squealed as she grabbed my hand. she skipped slightly ahead dragging me behind. i smirked as she pulled me through the crowd.

About and hour later we had gone about half the rides. Gwen bought me a wrist band so i didn't have to pay. i felt bad but i didn't have neat enough money to go on all the rides we went on, plus she wanted to go on more. i'll buy her food that's a fair deal right? gwen didn't mind to much because her family is rich, not like my uncle Tony rich but defiantly not just middle class. her dad is police captain for all of New York so they're comfortable.
"hey want some cotton candy?" i asked as we passed through the food area.
"is that even a question?" she asked me wider eyes. she has a bit of a sugar addiction. i walked up and ordered us two cotton candies.
"$15" the cashier told me. i looked down $14.
"hey could you maybe give me a discount? i'm only $1 short."
"nope $15 or nothing."  i could feel uncontrollable rage. why though? over some cotton candy. i stared guess i don't need cotton candy but i'll get one for gwen.
"fine. i'll take one." i glared at him. he nodded and went to make the sugar treat. he came back a few minutes later with a ball of pink fluff.
"so what you doing tonight?" he asked me while he handed me the cotton candy i could feel his eyes looking me up and down.
"hanging out with a friend." i told him as i grabbed that cotton candy out of his hand. i hated his eyes on me.
"well," he grabbed my hand and dug his nails into my wrist, " i'm not busy so you should come hangout out with me." i started to panicked and was about to punch him in the face when the light above his head shattered and then the cash register open on its own and hit him in the dick. i sprinted away towards the ferris wheel where Gwen was waiting for me.

"only one?" she asked.
"yeah i didn't really want one." i said extending my hand to give it to her. i decided not to tell her about the creepy guy. she's try to sue him or something she tilted her head and looked at me, she always knows when i'm lying.
"we can share." she nodded as she let me to the ferris wheel. i nodded and followed her onto the ride.

we got on and and the ride started to spin around. when we we're at the top she turned and look at me, almost crying.
"i've got something to tell you y/n" she looked at me.
"okay what is it? your scaring me gwen." she sounded serious.
"i came out."
"what." i was taken by surprise i never thought that she would be.... then the ferris wheel stopped. Gwen jumped into my arms and let out a little scream. i was just frozen. she's gay? my parents always said that was bad. but it can't be bad. she can't be bad. I'm gay but I know I'm bad, but she can't be. i snapped out of my trance and the ferris wheel started back up again. gwen let go of me and fixed her shirt.
" that was..... weird but like i came out as bi to myself first. and now i'm coming out to you."
"no no i got that, it's just i never thought you would be..."
"you don't hate me right?" she looked down at her lap, her hands were twitching.
"absolutely not" i shook my head " listen we're gonna be friends no matter what. okay?" i grabbed her hand and looked at her. she looked up at me and we locked eyes.
"okay." she nodded.

after we got off ferris wheel i walked her to the parking lot we're her dad was waiting for her in they're car. it was a nice car, i have no clue what kind but i knew it was expensive. i waved goodbye to her and she drove off . ever since she told me she was bi, i couldn't stop smiling. nothing could stop me not even when i passed by the cotton candy guy, not when i stepped in gum on my way home, nothing. i don't know why but her being bi for some reason had made me the happiest person alive.
