Chapter 02

 
  I woke up feeling energized today!
  It was a great opportunity to start
  the day right.

  I'm currently waiting for Ronnie
  and Reagan to arrive at our
  meeting spot. As I've said earlier,
  either the three of us or only me
  and Reagan head to school together.

  "It's not like that, stupid!", I heard.
  a familiar voice approaching my
  left side. He seems to be in a middle
  of a fight. "Please lang, lawakan
  mo nalang pag-iisip mo. I don't
  have time to deal with your
  bullshits!", and he ended the call.
  I didn't have to look at his face to
  know who he was. Obviously, I
  heard him up close! It was Brennon.

  Due to his frustrations, he crossed
  the road while it's on green. For
  heaven's sake, it's still on Green!

  "Watch out!", as I opened my eyes,
  I saw Reagan holding onto Brennon
  who was also in a state of shock.
  What the hell, this man! Does he
  want to cause a scene here!

  "Are you alright?", Ronnie asked
  him in a worried manner. Brennon
  nodded politely and excused him-
  self and began to walk pass us.

  I didn't get to react or even absorb
  what I just saw earlier, so I told
  them that we should go ahead since
  we might be late for class.

  I kept thinking about Brennon the
  whole period! I did not sign up for
  this. There were so many what if's
  circling in my mind, as if I'm the
  one who almost got bumped by a
  car and the one on his shoes. I
  wanted to ask him if he's fine, but
  we aren't close to begin with.

  I immediately thought of Keyshia.
  I guess she was somehow close to
  Brennon. She even described him.

  "Woy, sino ba ulit yung nakita
  natin kahapon?", kinailangan ko
  pa mag maang-maangan para 'di
  mahalata. "Kuya Brennon?"

  "Hahahaha!", she almost fell to
  the floor while laughing. "Baduy
  mo! Ba't kuya? F.Y.I, ha. Ayaw
  no'n na tinatawag siyang kuya!"

  What a weird logic he has! He's one
  year older, so isn't it right to just
  address him as kuya? Freak.

  "Well, okay fine. I was just asking
  'cause I saw him earlier. You
  know, he almost got hit by a car!
  Those people around him were so
  worried, is he thinking straight?
  I mean, is he even alright?", she
  smirked before saying something.

  "Ahh, worried sila? E, ikaw?
  Kumusta?", huh? bakit naman ako?

  "Sira din ba ulo mo, kakasabi
  ko lang na si Kuya Brennon 'yon.
  I was just worried in behalf of
  his friends!"

  "Ayaw mong mag-worry bilang
  Jielle?", geez. This is going nowhere.
  "Joke lang! Chill ka nga lang. Okay
  lang 'yun. Masamang damo 'yun,
  kaya magtatagal buhay no'n
  kaya okay lang kahit malasin
  siya. Ano okay na? Para 'di ka na
  magalala diyan sis." ... "Oh ayan
  na pala siya-"

  "Saan?! San??", I searched the area
  but I did not find my target. I just
  realized what I did and shut my
  mouth out. "W-what? I'm sorry.",
  I said that too loud! Ugh, what am I
  even doing.
