  “Staying there weakens me.”, it
  wasn't necessary but he explained
  what he felt. “Nakakabother.”

  “And who told you to go here?
  Is this some sort of escape plan?”,
  I rolled my eyes at him even if I was
  feeling the other way around. “It's
  7pm, fyi. You need to go home.
  They're looking for you!”

  He laughed softly before talking.
  “You think I went here just to
  blabber nonsense?”, he smirked.
  “If it wasn't for my damn knee—”

  “Heck, fine! Go in.”, I forgot about
  his injury! It wasn't even my
  responsibility but it felt like he was
  part of my duty. Kahit labag sa loob
  ko na papasukin siya, ginawa ko.
  Para wala na ‘kong utang na loob
  sakanya. Pambawi na rin sa pag-
  tingin sa ‘kin noon sa clinic.

  I was about to help him walk, but
  he didn't let me. He said he can
  manage.

  “Your place looks nice.”, he roamed
  around the house. I let him wander
  in the rooms while I prepared
  something for us to eat. I didn't
  know what suits his tastebuds the
  best so I gave him a variety of
  snacks.

  “Yaman. Akin ‘to lahat?”, it seems
  like he was craving everything! Okay,
  hindi ako talo.

  “Uh, whatever. Do as you please.”,
  the idea of him and me under one
  roof was so awkward. I was alone
  in the house since my parents,
  including my sister had a flight to
  London last week. Kaya ko naman
  mabuhay mag-isa dito. It actually
  gave me peace. “Why are you here
  by the way?”

  “Someone I knew kept visiting
  me. After school, and even
  earlier.”, he sighed out of disbelief.
 

  “Is that person a friend?”, wait
  was that too personal? “N-no, I
  mean if you don't mind though.”

  “I guess she is.”, an unsure answer,
  huh? “I didn't like her company
  at all. ”

  “Ah, a girl.”, I let out a small
  chuckle. “So that rumor is true?
  Maybe she likes you! You're so
  dense. Why can't you see through
  that.”, I can see how he laughed but
  I think it's because he's disagreeing.

  “She does. Tsaka, anong balita
  ‘yang kumakalat?”, he seemed
  pissed off. Like you heard it already!

  “Habulin ka daw ng chicks.”, well
  mukha namang totoo. He's
  handsome, I can't deny that. I just
  dislike his vibe and overall perso-
  nality. I wasn't in the place to judge
  him, it's because first impression
  lasts. That's why.

  “Hindi ah. ‘Wag ka magpaniwala.
  Guni guni lang nila ‘yon. Nag-
  bago na ‘ko.”

  “If you say so.”, I shrugged my
  shoulders cause I had no idea at
  all on what to answer back at him.
  Talking to him felt nice, I just
  realized how laid-back of a person
  he is. He's the type of person you
  can talk to the whole day.
