Chapter 5: Taken

Percy: As the man came closer I got a good look at him. He kinda looked like an older version of Jason. Similar blue eye's though, Same blond hair, But that's where the similarities ended. This guy had a strange sort of style. He had on a suit that looked like the American flag in a way. But more like if the American flag was going into battle. He also had a big shield with a star and matched his outfit. Yah this dude had a terrible fashion sense. When he got closer He said

"You are Perseus Jackson?" Though it sounded more like a death sentence than a question. So I said the first thing that came to my mind.

"Dude, You know It's not the 4th of July". He just glared at me and Leo when Leo burst out laughing. It took all my willpower not to place my hand over my chest and start singing the national anthem. I apparently had a stronger will power then Leo. Because he placed his hand over his heart and started singing.

"Oh say can you see? By the dawns early light-"

As Leo was signing I heard a quiet laughter from the tree in front of us. The same tree Mr. America had come from behind. If there is one person in that tree there is probably going to be more. I quickly glanced around and saw one more in the trees and one in the bushes.

"Υπάρχουν δύο ακόμη άνθρωποι εδώ. Μας περιβάλλουν. Όλοι είναι οπλισμένοι. Το ένα είναι κοκκινομάλλα στους θάμνους και το άλλο είναι κάπως αράχνη στα δέντρα δίπλα στο στρατόπεδο." I whispered to Annabeth. (Translation: There are two more people here. They're surrounding us. They are all armed. One's a redhead in the bushes and the other is some sorta spider guy in the trees by the camp.)

"Ευχαριστώ. Ακολουθήστε το προβάδισμά μου." She whispered back. (Translation: Thanks. Follow my lead.) By this time Leo had stopped signing and nodded to us, He heard us so he knows. Good. Mr. America was looking at as wired. He must have heard us and looked very confused.

"What did you just say Perseus?" Flag Guy asked.

"We aren't answering any of your questions until your friends come out," Annabeth replied. Mr. American Flag Guy looked confused. He looked confused a lot. But then he motioned and a full metal robot came out from hiding a maple tree, Landing to the right of us.

"That is a piece of junk," Leo said as soon as it landed.

"What did you-" Annabeth interrupted Robo man by saying "Bring out redhead and the kid in the tree too."

"Na-Black widow. Come out" Flag guy said. Soon there was a woman In all black with red hair with some guns and knives behind us.

"Θα περιβάλλουμε σύντομα" I whispered to Annabeth and Leo. (Translation: WE are going to be surrounded soon.)

"Είμαστε όλοι έτοιμοι" Annabeth whispered back. (Translation: We already are.) Leo nodded grimly.

"ALL of them, Annabeth said," Leo told Robo man.

"Kid come on out," Robo said. From a tree to their right somebody swung out and landed on the ground, when I realized he was dressed like a spider I covered my ears for what was about to happen. I realized Leo was doing the same thing. Flag guy and Robo man were looking at Us like 'why are you covering your ears?' They got their answer. When Annabeth saw the person dressed like a spider she let out a scream and clutched my arm, hard. I could tell it was taking a lot out of her not to do anything to sider boy.

"What was that?" Spider boy said.

"ANYWAY, you need to come with us, this has taken long enough," Flag guy said.

"Ummm. no." Leo said.

"Ummm yes." Iron dude said. "We will take you by force if we need to."

"I'd like to see you try," Leo said in the same tone.

"Was that a challenge? 'Cause I would take you out in a Milla second impish boy," Robo man growled. That's when it got crazy. Flag dude made a hand signal and out from a tree behind us came an arrow. It was going straight for Annabeth so I did what any good boyfriend would do. I jumped behind Annabeth and grabbed it mid-air. That caused the people around us to stare like they never have seen anyone grab an arrow mid-air.

"You. Are. So. Dead." I growled at them. They quickly came out of their shock when Leo started throwing fireballs at them.

"What the heck! How is that even possible?" Robo man yelled as he dodged Leo's fireballs. I knew that Leo's fireballs weren't going to keep them at bay for long, and Annabeth was in hand-to-hand combat with red-head. So I did what came naturally. I felt that familiar tug at my gut and water geysers shot out of the ground. Poor spidey he happened to be standing as one of the geysers had come up. Long story short he was now unconscious were by Thaila's tree which was 30 feet from us. Annabeth had taken care of red-head and was now fighting Mr. Flag. Leo was throwing fireballs at a very mad Robot Man while shouting flaws about is suit. That left me to deal with arrow man. I scanned the trees were the arrow had come from. He was aiming at Leo.

"Leo!" I yelled. He turned around just in time to be caught with the arrow below his ribs. He collapses on the ground but not before hitting a metal man in the chest with a fireball causing him to fall out of the sky. I looked over to Annabeth only to see her taken in the head by the flag's shield in seconds she was also on the ground.

"NO!" I screamed. They were both down. What if they are dea-. No, don't think like that.

"It's over Perseus," Robo man said. "Surrender now"

"You don't know me. I will only fight harder now I have them to avenge," I snarled. No! They. Are. Not. Dead. The I tug in my gut got stronger as more geysers came from the ground and water bubbles surrounded Annabeth and Leo bringing them to me. After they were next to me I removed the water shields and moved all the geysers to around us so they were surrounding us. The geysers were at least 40 feet high. I knelt beside them as tears streamed down my face. Leo's shirt was red with blood where the arrow was. I didn't know if it had hit anything important, I'm not an Apollo camper. Annabeth had multiple cuts and bruises and a big bruise along her forehead were the 'oversized frisbee' had hit her. I don't know how long I had been kneeling there for, but I started to feel dizzy and sleepy.

As the world started to go dark I had a thought.

I never checked their pulses.
