"Is everything settled?" You asked. Dela nodded, carefully assisting the guards who were carrying your things and placing them inside the car the Jeon's used to pick you up.
"Yes, Ms. Wang." She said and went inside to sit beside you.
As you both leave the airport. You recieved a call from Ms. Jeon. You rolled your eyes and gently placed your phone back inside your pouch. You immediately smiled seeing the ring they gave you which is placed in your ring finger.
The Jeon family offered your family the marriage saying that you and their son are a perfect match. Not caring about the fact that you are three years older than their child. You heard so much about the beloved son. Thankfully there is no drugs involved in any of those gossips you're hearing, maybe they aren't gossips.
"Miss Paisley? Your father knew you left the country, right?" Dela asked as she stared at your pouch, where you hid the ringing phone.
"It's not like he care. He easily gave me to these people like I'm some trash that he needs to be taken care of. And Mom, talking about her? She knew." You massaged your temples.
Your Mom and Mrs. Jeon have been best friends ever since college. And up to now, they're still and that makes everything messed up for you. You being squished in the situation. Of course your Mom liked the idea of you marrying her best friend's son after receiving the offer.
Your Mom convinced you telling that divorce exists. But who wants to be divorced, though?
"We're here." The driver.
Dela immediately went out to open the door for you. You smiled tiredly and rolled your eyes as you walked to get inside the gigantic house.
You were quite surprised when you saw maids and other butlers who were lined up left and right just to greet you. You felt like a princess. You were shocked, yes but there is not a single expression was clear.
As you walked pass them, they would bow and pull a smile. By the end of the line, there stood Mrs. Jeon who's smiling widely with a welcoming aura.
"Oh dear Paisley! How are you?" She said dramatically and pulled you in a nice, tight hug. Your face scrunched and uncomfortably tried to give back the hug.
"I'm fine Mrs. Jeon, and you?" She chuckled and shook her head.
"Honey, there's no need to care about me. And dear! Call me Mama!" You chuckled and nodded. Slightly feeling uncomfortable because of how comfortable she is with you.
~
"Mama, it's fine really." You smiled as you watch them start to eat.
"We are very sorry Sweetie. We didn't knew he'll be this late! He's usually here before... He never really broke his promise." Mrs. Jeon held your hand to show you how sorry they are.
Your fiancée stood you and his parents up just for who knows what. Mr. Jeon smiled at your way. It looks like an apologetic smile. You did the same.
"Paisley, how's your parents doing in California?" Mr. Jeon started the conversation with a formal consultation about your parents.
Of course it has to be that way.
"They were okay, as always. Business' always stable and Dad's doing very great with the Chinese business men." You wiped your mouth as you sipped wine.
"Mister! Hurry this way! Dinner's ready and Ms. Wang has arrived. They are starting already."
Footsteps were heard from the living room as it echoes around the whole place. There were many. From the maids who were in panic and one from the great Jeon.
"Are they?" Said the guy.
It gave shivers down your spine because of how he sounded. You didn't knew it was that attractive. You gulped and silently battled with your mind telling things about how you should not get attached to the late guy.
"Ye, Mister." The table is silent because the conversation behind the thick wall is very evident and clear to yours and his parents ears.
You can clearly see Mrs. Jeon's nervous form because for whatever his child's going to say, she has no power to stop him. Mr. Jeon held the same nervous form but much calm and angry other than the woman.
"How does she look? Was she sexy?" Your eyes widen hearing that.
"Y-Ye?"
Yours and Mrs. Jeon's gaze met. She nervously smiled to your way and breathe heavily. She immediately stood up to come calm his furious son who cannot stop his mouth from saying what he want.
Mr. Jeon's angry, you can clearly see it in his face. You couldn't smile back to the woman who once told you to call her Mama.
"I said, was she sexy?" He said a bit playful now.
"She's older than me. Is she fit? Or is she ugly? Damn, this is more scarier than my first sex." The man said as if he's very worried.
Your blood boiled at that. Mr. Jeon hesitantly looked at you. "Paisley, I am extremely sorry for this. I hope you can help us, he's a rebel." Those were the words from Mr. Jeon.
"Mister-"
"Jungkook-ah! What are you saying?!" Mrs. Jeon's voice roared. Soft sorry's from the maids were heard as they take their chance to leave the scene.
You sat uncomfortably on your seat. With your blood boiling, you cannot help but to scoff. They want this marriage, not the other way around.
If they want me to stay, they should please me. And I'm not pleased with what's happening now. You thought as you mentally rolled your eyes.
There were whispers and for now, the words were unbearable. You and Mr. Jeon knew it was Mrs. Jeon, scolding his beloved son. There were giggles.
"Look at you Jungkook-ah! I told you to be on time and at least, dress nicely!" Those were the last words from Mrs. Jeon until they are now in front of you.
"These are nice." He giggled and you rolled your eyes.
Your eyes examined his jeans and the disheveled white shirt he had on. That was very unformal compared to your bold red dress, elegantly falling on you along with the simple but elegant accessories that goes along nicely with your engagement ring.
When your and Jungkook's eyes met, his eyes were widen. A smirk appeared making you roll your eyes internally.
"Hi, Wifey."
