Robyn's P.O.V:

After lunch we all had P.E for our last period so we stuck together and made our way to the gym in the older building.

Our school isn't very popular since it's in a small town but we get the occasional field trips and football games out of town.

We aren't any good to be honest- including Jay, but I think my opinion is biased since I detest his presence - but it's nice to let them think that they are.

The glossy red and blue stripped walls soon turned to rugged and beaten down bricks as we entered the older side of the building.

When I introduced Angie as Margie's friend, it was because Angie was nice to talk to, our conversions came almost easily. But she has this persona around her that she had a bad attitude.

It is sketchy isn't it? Using shyness as a front only to be blunt and ignorant on the inside.

When we entered the gym it was as loud as a train blowing its' horn next to your ear. With a lot more students then usual. And from the looks of it- our coach hasn't arrived yet.

Our gym had that stereotypical glossy basketball court and grey metal bleachers on either side of the court, with an eagle - our mascot - in the middle of the court. Posters of the eagle with students in games were plastered on the crème walls.

My habit of taking in my surroundings took over as I looked through the crowd, I then noticed - at the far corner on the bleachers - April glaring at me. Standing along with April stood Julia and two of her other friends, Amanda and Trinity.

April was a beautiful brunette with the most iciest blue eyes- but all of it went out the window when she picked up a makeup brush every morning.

The other two friends of hers were blonde with brown eyes. I think that is what April was looking for in order to join the "April Squad". Julia being the exception of course- she had red fiery hair, that she dyed, and brown slender eyes.

April and I have had this long battle of throwing glares and snip side comments towards each other- we went way back to middle school. She got all the guys and, I can tell you hands down, she made all the other girls jealous.

Or so she thought-

I was the only one who didn't fall at her feet, begging to be in her good graces. And she didn't take that too kindly.

Having a sister who thinks the world revolves around her does that to you. You won't take anyone's bullshit.

And April hated me because of that.

Just then the sound of a deafening whistle being blown- caught the attention of everyone in the room as all of our heads turned simultaneously towards the source. There had to be about a good 84 students in a gym that can only hold 100. My 5'4 height could only make out a flop of a receding hair line.

Our coach, Coach Ross, had stepped into the packed-gym.

His shaggy brown hair and buffy eyebrows creased as he took in the number of students in the gym.

The black windbreaker squeaked as he made his way towards the middle of the court. With the sound of his keys being the only other noise in the room.
