It took a while but slowly they calmed down. The pillow fight went from friendly to deadly as the demons got angrier.  Insults were shouted out. Sparks flew as they tried to control their anger. It grew so violent that I backed up to the window trying to stay out of the way. I saw Simeon shielding Luke as Solomon tried to escape out into the hall.
Mammon nearly knocked me out of the window, I was only saved by Beel's quick action. Hos long arm caught me as he sprang around his older brother. Mammon thought he was attacking him and kneed him in the chest. With an umph, Beel managed to pull me into his arms to protect me. Diavolo made them stop. It was shocking how loud he could be when he wanted.
The lord of the Devildom was typically a quiet man. That was until someone under his care was about to be murdered during a pillow fight. I saw it over Beel's shoulder. He rose up, taller than Lucifer. Horns sprouted from his head as black wings snapped open. He grew. There was no other term for it. He became huge.
“STOP!” He bellowed. The room froze. Satan was going after Asmo who was running toward my bed. Belphegor and Levi didn’t have pillows instead it looked like they were using long soft pool noodles to bash each other with. Lucifer was bearing down on Mammon right behind my protector. They stopped instantly in mid strike, posing like they were some window display at a weird sports shop.
“Did you eyes notice you nearly killed the human?” All eyes turned to me as Beel smoothed down my shirt.
“You ok?” he asked. I nodded. Patting his arm I let out a nervous chuckle.
“Well I can scratch hanging upside down out a window off of my bucket list. To be honest the bell tower doesn’t look so great upside down.” I giggled trying to make a joke out of it. The others weren’t having it.
“How could you hurt the human?” Asmo cried glaring at Mammon.
“Can’t you be more careful?” Lucifer sounded exasperated.
“What if you killed a human, honestly Mammon. Where would the world be without them?” Levi scoffed.
“Beel, do you have my pillow?” Belphie asked yawning. Satan simple pushed his older brother out 9f his way as he moved toward his sleeping bag.
“Yeah, Belphie, I have it. Kept it safe for you.” He smiled an eye crinoline smile at his younger brother.
“You're the best Beel!” Belphegor took the pillow back to his bag.
“You really are the best.” I told Beel. “Without you I would be a blood stain on the cement.” We both looked toward the window. While Beel's gaze was still outside, I slipped my arm around his neck. Pressing my lips to his cheek I kissed him. He flushed brightly.
“Thank you for saving my life.” I told him. He turned to look at me. You know what to hell with it, I told myself. I was still in his arms. I kissed him full on the mouth. His hands fluttered like birds at my waist not knowing where to put them. I heard a giggle bit didn’t care. This was Beelzebub, the one demon who had always made sure I was OK each night.
“Thank you for being so kind and caring. You are the best!” I hugged him tightly. Awkwardly he patted my back.
“I really like you too. You're alright, for a human.” He teased. I rolled my eyes and we laughed.
A fresh round of snacks were ordered as we settled down to watch the movie. Lucifer had gone to smooth out Diavolo's feathers. They walked back in holding hands and our good-natured lord was his charming self once more. Looking around I moved to my spot.
On one side, Beel had his twin sleeping on his shoulder. I rested my head on his chest to Mammon's chagrin. Beel chuckled when he heard the second born grumbling. I laughed with him. It was fine for all of five minutes, before Beel got hungry.
I sat up. “Go, I don’t want to hear your tummy growling all night.” I told him. He gave me a sheepish grin.
Watching I saw how gentle he was with Belphie. Easing out from under his head he moved his own pillow so that the other demon would still be comfortable. The sleeping twin encircled the new object with his arms. He murmured something I couldn’t hear before sticking his thumb against his lips. It was like he wanted to suck it but knew he shouldn't. Instead he opted to snuggle into his blanket more. Beel wiped the hair off of his face.
“You're a good caring brother.” I smiled at him. His face lit up with happiness.
“Is there anything I can get you from the snack cart?” he asked.
“Is there popcorn, pretzel bites and a drink?” I asked truly concerned with what snacks Diavolo may have ordered. Beel smiled.
“Well I can smell the popcorn. I will look for the other stuff.” He offered before threading his way among the maze of bodies to the cart. Diavolo looked over at me.
“It appears you have them all wrapped around your finger.” His smile was over shadowed by his curious eyes. I frowned.
“I am only trying to survive here and be nice.” I stated with a slight pout. “Not everyone has ulterior motives.” I added as a jibe. He drew back looking utterly shocked. I guess if you’re a demon you would have to have a contingency plan for your contingency plan.
“That's just an awful way to live.” I whispered as Lucifer sat down handing a drink to his lover.
“Maybe humans have the security of not looking past what is current happening to them, I, however, do not.” He spread a hand out to indicated the brothers, angel and other human in the room. It also encompassed the window. I was sure this meant the others outside this building.
“All 9f this is my responsibility. I must ensure the safety of everyone.”
“Heavy lies the head the wears the crown.” I mumbled.
“Exactly.” He looked justified with his importance.
The movie started. Mammon managed to wiggle in beside me. Beel brought back everything I had asked for. We sat together eating. He looked so happy to have someone enjoy the food with him. When I was full I laid down. A cheeky grin touched my face as I inched closer to Mammon. I could tell he was almost asleep.
“Can I kiss you?” I whispered in his ear before scurrying away quickly. He bolted to a sitting position.
“Huh? What? What was that?” He cried rubbing his ear. I was up against Beel's side now.
“Having bad dreams, Mammy?” I asked. He blinked at me.
“Did you ask to kiss me?” he demanded I opened my eyes wide.
“Me? No. But if you want a kiss, all you have to do is ask for one.” I lowered my eyelashes. Fluttering them at him. His face flamed.
“Can I … uh will you… please kiss me!” he eventually got out. With a soft chuckle I moved toward him. On my knees I felt all eyes on us. It was like time had stopped. The brothers and angels froze in the middle of their activity as I moved to place my hands on his shoulders.
He was sitting back on his heels. Legs bent beneath him he looked at me surprised. Smiling I leaned in. First I kissed the tip of his nose, then his left cheek then his right, watching as the blush deepened on them. Slowly I brought my lips to his. Mammon jerked a bit under my hands. I steadied his shoulders. Moving in I pressed our mouths tighter together. A soft hum reverberated across my lips as I molded mine to his. I felt his hands catch at my waist. But this was THE Mammon. I wasn’t going to let him off easy. I bit gently at his lower lip. It fell back in surprise. My tongue darted forward.
Mammon jerked, arms surrounding me as he held on. Stroking my tongue over his I felt him shudder. Carefully I curled my tongue around his. He moaned against my lips as I sucked at his tongue.
“Enough!” I jerked back at the shouted roar. Mammon looked dazed. Lucifer stood above him, horns poking up toward the ceiling. The other brothers were starring at him in shock as well. I had fallen back on my hands. Beel caught me pulling me up to him.
“Why do we have to watch such displays? Can’t you contain yourselves?” he bellowed in full fury now.
“Lucifer is this necessary?” Diavolo was fighting to not laugh at the enraged Avatar of pride. As soon as the lord of the Devildom spoke, Lucifer’s bluster subsided.
“Humph!” Lucifer exclaimed before folding his half unfurled wings back in and taming his horns. Mammon looked like he was frozen. Unceremoniously Lucifer pushed him. The white haired demon toppled over his head landed in Asmo's lap who grunted in pain as he jerked away, smacking Satan in the face. Satan was beside Solomon and ended up elbowing the wizard in the chest. He twisted away punching Levi as he tried to get out of Satan's way. Levi yelped as he was yanked out of his daze scaring Luke who jumped into Simeon's lap.
The hot angel tried to catch him but failed. They fell backward onto Belphegor, the only one who slept through my kiss with Mammon. Beel pushed the angel off of his brother with a growl. Simeon apologized. Lucifer shook his head.
“You guys look like dominoes.” Diavolo chuckled. During all of this the movie had continued to play. Lucifer snagged the remote from the sleeping bags, backing it up to where it was when everyone became more interested in my kiss. I chuckled snuggling down beside Belphie on Beel's muscular chest.
Glancing over I saw Diavolo pull Lucifer to him. He rested his chin on the top of the others head. One arm was wrapped around the raven haired delight, this hand entwined fingers with Lucifer's hand over his heart. The other hand was mythically stroking the errant strands of the Avatar's hair. It was a cute embrace.
“You are all so fun!” I exclaimed as the movie restarted. Beel's arm came around me after he got his head adjusted so he could see the movie over our heads. A smile lit his face, I grinned back. He looked so happy. Snuggling up to him I placed one hand under my cheek. The other rested on Beel's chest.
The last thing I remembered was him whispering to me that he liked me petting him. Unconsciously I had been stroking my free hand up and down his chest. I giggled as sleep took me. Life in the Devildom was never boring.
