wow wtfpad really murders the quality but you can tell which is which so.. here's some headcanons on why they're all different sizes (from heaviest to lightest):
1. mudwings. these guys are just massive chonkers in every way
2. seawings. they're pretty short but have quite a bit of muscle mass on them
3. icewings. they don't look it, but they're very strong and they store extra fat in their bodies like polar bears
4. hivewings. this tribe is the biggest on pantala because of the almost 100 years of being served by silkwings (also because they're part pyrrhian)
5. nightwings. these guys would be much bigger if they hadn't spent the last 2,000 years on a volcano
6. rainwings. they're relatively skinny. yeah, they live in the rainforest, but they also just mostly live off sunlight.
7. leafwings. this tribe is not only skinny but pretty malnourished too, because of where they live.
8. skywings. these guys are basically just smol and skinny (with gigantic wings of course). maybe that's why they're so grumpy?
9. silkwings. they are just naturally small.
10. sandwings. because they live in the desert and eat very little, this tribe is the smallest.
