Mr. Bason was walking on the sidewalks, holding his hat to his head. The wind was getting worse and Mr. Bason was about to give up. He was weak and could barely walk. Buildings surrounded him, but none of them were orphanages. Mr. Bason was very confused though. Why would Eliza just leave to go for an orphanage. Were the Basons not treating her kindly? He gave them a cozy room, new clothes, and toys. He felt awful and aching. He had to make a decision. Should he just accept that she was gone and never coming back or keep looking in this weather, where no human seemed to lurk? He began to think about his family and missed them. Were they all right?
