Pokemon the power of us: Toren x reader

Toren is very stressed.

The day had ended, I was done with work, and I was still thinking on how to help Toren. The speech was tomorrow though, and I couldn't think of anything that I could do before then.

Of course, there always is a solution, I just had to think of one.

I sat at my seat on the light rail pondering, hoping to find something to do.

Then I heard a grunt right next to me and I turned my head to see that an older man, maybe forty, had seated himself beside me.

He was trying to fit in between me and the wall, and as he was a bit bigger of a person, So he was struggling.

I turned to my left to see if there was any room to scoot over, but there was another person right up against me.

I sighed, I wanted to help him, and I didn't really wanna be squished besides him. Oh well, that's just how it goes sometimes.

The man finally got himself to fit, and I was now trapped between two strangers.

We sat there in silence for a while, until the man turned his head, and seemed to notice my attire.

"Hey! Your a scientist at the lab, correct?" He asked, at that moment I realized he was the crazy guy from the park the other day.

I didn't really know what to say, so in the end I just ended up nodding.

He smiled and let out a loud bout of laughter.

"I was just at the lab, how come I didn't see you!" He asked.

"Umm, I've been very busy sir, the lab has a convention with the festival tomorrow sir," I replied.

"So I've heard, one of your buddies, I forgot his name. But the one with the green hair, glasses. Well he and I struck a deal today,"The man said.

"Really, I never would have expected that from Toren!" I said, very surprised, but I was happy he seemed to have made an arrangement.

"Toren's his name, yeah I remember that. Anyway, he wanted me to speak at this convention thingy your talking about. And I asked him to help me with a teensy little favor" the man said.

"Really, well I'm glad to see that's been resolved. I was actually trying to think of a way to help him out myself." I replied.

The man chuckled at what I said, and turned to me.

"Say, are you two a thing or something? The man is very lucky to have a girl like you, so pretty" He said, curious.

I blushed at his words, and I think it took me at least three try's to answer him.

"N-no, nothing of the sort. He's my boss, I'm his assistant, nothing more!" I replied.

He laughed at my reaction and gave me a skeptical look.

"You have a crush on your boss or something?" He asked, getting straight to the point.

I'm pretty sure I jumped ten feet in the air, my face was tomato red.

"W-why would I tell a stranger that?" I asked.

He chuckled and held out his hand," Callahan," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"You said you wouldn't tell a stranger, so I'm giving you my name. Callahan." He replied.

"Y/N," I said," that's my name, but I'm still not telling you anything,"

Callahan laughed at me and smiled.

"Well it's nice to meet you Ms. Y/N,"he said.

"Likewise," I replied.

I heard the light rail speaker guy call my stop, and I jumped out of my seat surprised. I had been so busy talking to Callahan that I hadn't been paying attention.
