"Was that a voice crack?" Konoha said. Kurihara nodded sheepishly. "It's not my fault I can't hit the high notes!" She tried opening her mouth again and singing the last verse of the song.
"The ultimate fight!" Her voice lowered as she tried to hit the last note of the song. "See? I just can't reach it." She laughed and massaged her throat. Konoha slid over next to Kurihara.
"You're singing from your throat, try from your lungs. And sit up straight, jeez." He told her. He took his own advice and sang the note. It looked funny when he puffed out his chest, but he hit the high note.
Kurihara sat up and looked at Konoha. "Like this?" He nodded and raised both of his hands. "Er... do you mind if I um?" The boy asked awkwardly. She giggled. "Yeah, just don't try anything funny."
She gave him the ok and he pressed his hands against her waist. "Turn and," He grunted softly as he faced her towards him. "Face me. It comes from right here." He said poking at her belly button.
"Hey! Ah- that tickled." She whined. But she did as she was told and and started signing. Konoha soon joined in on the chorus and they finished the song, high note and all.
"Woohoo! That was amazing! Thanks!" Kurihara said, clapping her hands together. "I told you so~" Konoha said in a sing-song voice. His fingers shook slightly and they inched closer to her.
"Alright alright. Let's play. Pikachu's gonna kill you."
The two of them played a few round by themselves, and then they teamed up against other people around the world. It went on for a few hours and both of them were very determined to beat other people.
Soon enough, Kurihara was falling asleep on his shoulder. Konoha looked at her as her head plopped down on him. Akinori watched the sleeping girl. He hadn't noticed how long her eyelashes were until now.
Her hair parted off to the side when she slept. It was beautiful, she was calm. But her eyelids kept twitching, as if she was having a nightmare. Konoha sighed and tried to get up without waking the girl, but she just held him closer in her sleep.
God damni- sheesh. You really are stupid, aren't you? Of course I'm catching feelings for you. And you better stop doing that. He closed his eyes too, and let himself rest on her body.

It was cold and dark around her. People were screaming, but there was no one in front of her. It was just a pool of endless darkness. Disappointment and anger weighed down on her.
