It had been 2 weeks since your night with John . He hadn't told anyone anything , well that's what you guessed , you had both sworn to not tell anyone about that night , you hadn't told anyone either because you knew it was too risky and it could cause John a lot of trouble with the situation. You was so eager to tell Ada but you knew you could , she was you best friend and you knew it was something she would be happy for you about but you knew that she might tell someone , you was worried that she might think you was a whore because you couldn't help yourself .
John hadn't spoken to you , it started of as a few awkward looks between the two of you but then it turned in to more of a haze at each other . You had caught each other staring so many times but whenever you tried to talk to him he walked away , you knew he wasn't good under pressure but surely he would talk to you , right ? You was in the secret together .
You and Ada was going out for the night and you told her you would meet her at her house . You knocked on the door and tommy answered the door .
"Is Ada here ?" You asked tommy .
"No , I told her to wait for you at the garrison." Tommy replied . You was confused, why would tommy need Ada to meet you at the garrison?
"Why ?" You asked , you made sure he noticed you thought it was stupid .
" I need to talk to you ." Tommy answered as he opened the door further implying for you to come in .
You walked in as he walked you to his office .
"Take a seat y/n ." Tommy demanded as he sat down at his desk .
You sat in the chair facing his desk .
"What do you want Thomas ?" You asked in a way that showed you was fed up .
"Did you and John sleep together ." Tommy said , he said it as if it was a normal question to ask someone .
"What ?" You gasped . What he serious , you sit just ask someone who they have slept with .
"You heard me ." Tommy replied.
" No !" You shouted , he knew you was lying
"Don't fucking lie to me y/n ." Tommy yelled
"Why do you care ?" You argued .
"What's going on ?" John asked . You and tommy both looked at the door way . John was standing there . Tommy froze . You grabbed your bag .
"Ask you fucking brother !" You yelled as you walked out .
You spent your night with Ada truing to forget about the previous events . You tried not to drink a lot so you just watched Ada get pissed , even though you knew that you was the one who was going to have to carry her home .
You liked at the clock and realised it was almost 00:00 . You looked over to see ada's head on the table , she was passed out .
You had to practically carry Ada back . You knocked on the door and Polly answered .
"Thank goodness your awake poll , I wasn't sure if I would be able to carry her to mine ." You exclaimed exhaustedly .
"Let me help you y/n ." Polly said as she helped pick Ada up . You and Pol put Ada to bed . It took you a while but you did it in the end .
When you was about to leave you heard John whisper your name .
"Y/n ." John whispered
"What ?" You replied in a quiet voice .
John grabbed your hand and pulled you out side . He shut the door. John was still in his suit .
"Let's go for a walk ." John suggested .
"At this time of night John . You have had two weeks John , two weeks to say let's go on a walk and you choose now , no , I'm tired, no ." You argued .
"Come on ." John started walking giving you no other option but to follow .
" what do you want John ?" You asked .
"How did tommy know ?"
"How am I supposed to know !" You said in a higher tone of voice .
"Well he knows now ." John informed you .
"What are you doing ?" You asked John .
"What do you mean ?" John asked confused
"You haven't spoken to me since that night and now your speaking to me acting like nothing happened that night !" You shout at John . He can tell that you are frustrated at the way he has treated you over the past weeks .
"I know and I'm sorry . I don't know what to do because I love you but I'm so far with Lizzie now and it would be hard to get out of it ." John tried to explain to you .
"I wish we could just get away from all of this and be together . John maybe you should stay with Lizzie for your sake . Just forget about me ." You suggested to John. You didn't really want this but you thought that it would be the easier option for John .
"Don't say that . Let's just leave small heath and go away for two months at least ." John exclaimed .
You was shocked but you didn't need to be persuaded.
"What about the business and Lizzie ?" You asked John .
"Fuck them , I will leave a note one for Lizzie and one for the family ." John replied .
"But when will we go and where ?" You asked John trying to be realistic .
"America and tomorrow, common baby we can just go it's only two months ." John tried to bring you back to the fantasy world .
"Okay fine , you go home and pack your bad and write the letter and make them apologetic and from your heart . You will have to tell them everything that is happening and tell them I'm sorry . I will be at home packing and come and get me 6:00 tomorrow." You listed .
"Okay . It's a plan . I love you ." John said before kissing you and grabbing your waist .
You ran home and lacked everything you needed . And lots of lingerie for John .
You went to sleep that night with butterflies in your stomach not knowing how the events of tomorrow could lead out .
You heard a knock on your door in the morning and opened the door . Obviously it was John and you shut your door and locked it in the last time for however long you would be .
"Good morning." You said to John as you put your bags down and gave home a kiss .
"Good morning baby ." John said as he picks up his bags and one of yours . You grab your bags and follow John .
"When is the train ?" You asked John .
"Only fifteen minutes but we have time ." John answered .
When you got in the train you didn't really know what was going to happen for you or John next .
After 3 months away you and John knew you wanted to stay away but after 5 months you and t to the doctors and was told that you was 3 1/2 months pregnant.
John took the news well and was over the moon . He want nervous at all he was only excited. When the Shelby's found out they was happy for us and you came back to visit when John jr was born and stayed there for a bit . When you was pregnant with your second child you decided to move back to small heath and raise your kids there .
Everything had worked out in the end , even though when you came back to small heath and found out John was with Lizzie you didn't think that it would ever work out . You knew that you was luck to have him in your life and he was also great full to have you in his life .
