Lizzie stark was johns girlfriend? Did he not get the letter ? You thought as a rush of questions came to your head .
"Well I'm his fiancé not girlfriend." Lizzie added , she gave you a look as if she knew that you was bothered by their engagement.
You and John made eye contact , you made sure he knew that you was confused . You turned back to Lizzie .
"That's great news , I have to go now but I will see you later ." You said with a fake smile , you knew that you had nowhere to be but you wanted to get out of there as soon as possible .
Why was he with Lizzie stark ? You thought . He knows what she does . Does he not care about what l said in the letter ? What do I do now ? Has he just forgotten about me ? You couldn't handle the news you had not long ago heard and too many thought was entering your head .
When you reached home you looked for some alcohol any alcohol but you couldn't find any .
You decided to walk to the garrison and have a drink there .
You walked into the garrisons and luckily you couldn't see any signs of the Shelby's .
You ordered a drink and sat at the bar . After three drinks you saw Lizzie and the Shelby's other than tommy walk into the pub . You quickly finished the last of your drink and walked out .
When you was half way down the street you heard John call your name
"Y/n !" John shouted
You stopped and convinced yourself to turn around .
"What john ?" You asked in a voice that made it clear you didn't want to talk to him
"Why are you being so moody ?" John asked you as if he had completely forgotten finding out he was engaged to someone wasn't going to hurt you .
"Why do you think John ?" You asked before walking of again .
John pulled your arm bringing you back to him .
"Is it that bad that I'm engaged to Lizzie ." He asked
"No John it's fine actually why don't you go talk to her right now and tell her how fucking happy I am that you two are going to get married !" You shouted at John .
John stopped and looked at you confused
"Y/n why are you acting like this , you left for Ireland and that was it no letter no telephone call to see how I was it's not like you didn't leave for three months ." He said making it obvious he was waiting for you to talk to him while you was away .
"What the fuck are you talking about John I sent you a fucking letter explaining how I missed you and how it was a stupid idea to leave and that I was getting a ticked back when l could , and guess what I didn't get a response so didn't pretend I didn't let you know I was on my way back Because I love you ." You shouted at John
"What ?" John asked with a change of emotion, he was calm .
"So your telling me you didn't get the letter , oh well that's great I've made a fool of my self , ok them well i hope you live a long happy life with Lizzie and I'll just go back to my job that I fucking hate in Ireland-"You said before John cut you off
"No , did you say you love me ." John asked making you realise what you just said .
"Yes John I did ok I told you that I am in love with you but it doesn't matter anyway because you are marring someone else ." You said before you walked off
"Y/n wait !" John shouted " Why didn't you tell me you love me ?" John asked in a loud but soft voice .
"I did John ," you say in a hurt voice "But someone didn't want to give you the letter ." You tell John as you walk away to find tommy .
You walk to the Shelby house and knock on the door knowing that tommy was there .
Tommy opened the door .
"Why didn't you give my letter to John ?" You asked tommy trying to keep calm
"What ?" Tommy asked as if he was clueless to what you was talking about .
"Oh come on tommy we both know that you didn't give my letter to John ." You shouted
"Ok fine y/n but it's only because he didn't need it , he was already missing you and he had just started to feel better ." Tommy tried to tell you as if it was the right thing to do .
"Where is it , the letter where is it ?" You asked tommy
"It doesn't matter y/n ." He replied softly
You stop and stare at tommy . He can see that you are serious this time .
"Fine , they are in my drawers ." Tommy finally tells you .
You walk in to his office and find the letter in his drawers . You walk out of the office and angrily walk past him , he gives the same plain face as he always shows .
You get to the garrison and ask to talk to John . You and John walk outside
"This is the letter l sent , this letter will explain everything to you , it's open because tommy read it and thought would be best not to give to you ." You tell John as you give him the letter .
"I'm going home but find me when you read it ." You tell John before you turn around to walk away . You feel a grip on you arm pulling you back .
"I don't need to read it ." John says as he pulls you closer .
You stop and stare at him in confusion
"What why . I really think you should re.." you try to insist but John cuts you off as he pulls you in and kisses you .
The kiss was long and meaningful. When you eventually stoped he stared into your eyes , still holding you close .
He grabs your hand and opens the car door . He then tuns to the other side of the car .
The journey that was short felt long . You was both sat there in silence knowing waiting for what was about to happen .
When he stopped the car you jumped out and quickly opened his door . You lips were locked not long after and you spent the rest of your night just the way you imagined it .
When you had finished John had fallen asleep , you was in him arms with your head rest on his chest . You startled at his face , you remember all the times before you left and wished you never left . It felt so good to be back in his arms again , you had missed his smooth skin and soft touch .
You didn't know what John was going to do with his love triangle but you was almost positive that he was going to end up with you .
