Yeji's POV
We finished "Not Shy" promotions last week so we could focus on the collaboration with TXT. We're at Big Hit right now to practice.
"Let's all stand by height" Son Sung Deuk says, Big Hit's choreographer
"Aigoo" Chaeryeong says
"Here we go again" I say
"Why would you say that?" Yuna says frustrated
"Let's do this" Ryujin says standing on her tippy toes
"The three people most sensitive with their heights are battling head to head" Lia joked pointing at Chaeryeong, Ryujin and me.
"Their heights aren't even close if you look at the numbers but when in person they look like they're the same height" Lia Kim, our choreographer says fascinated
Ryujin, Chaeryeong and I stood up to compare our heights.
"I think Chaeryeong grew. She looks like she's taller than Yeji noona" Beomgyu says
"Yeji has been changed to 3rd tallest in Itzy" Soobin teased me
"Yah why is everyone getting taller first was Yuna now Chaeryeong" I ranted
"Unnie you're the only one not getting taller" Yuna teased me
"Lia getting taller than me is my only fear" I said
"Yah come here" Lia scolded
We started arranging the performance after that fight. Lia and Taehyun were going to start the performance off with a ballad or acoustic rendition of both groups songs. Itzy is going to perform first as a group then Itzy and TXT do a couple performance. Next was TXT's group performance then Itzy comes back to do another couple performance.
"After Itzy's performance should be a dance break between the three pairs Ryujin and Soobin, Beomgyu and Chaeryeong, Yeonjun and Yeji" Sung deuk says
"Yuna and Hueningkai will act a scene that will connect both stories" Lia Kim says
"Yeah the director is planning on making a storyline between us" Soobin says
We began to practice the dance break with just the three pairs while the other two pairs took vocal practice.
"And a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8," Sung deuk ssaem counted
There were a lot of dance steps that had a lot of skin ship. He had to hold my waist, we had to hold hands a lot and many more dance steps. It was fine for me since we had a lot of dances with the male trainees when we were trainees. We were paired a lot with Stray Kids. I felt like Yeonjun was more nervous since they never collaborated with any female person even when they were trainees since all the trainees were guys.
"You okay?" I asked him while we took a 5 minute break
"Yeah just nervous" he said while scratching his nape nervously
"Don't be you'll get the hang of it soon and be more comfortable with dancing these types of dances" I say to him
"You girls must've gotten paired for dances like this" he said
"Yeah JYP isn't that strict with male and female trainees we get to meet each other frequently" I said
"There are only male trainees in Big Hit so we don't have a lot of people to meet" he said shyly
"You guys have us now. We can hang out together as a group with all our members" I say happily
"Thanks, we should hang out soon" he says
"You will after dance practice now dance" Sung deuk says ending the 5 minute break
"Hey look at this" Lia Kim says
She showed us the dance practice of Keon and Mari's dance to "Time for Love".
"Yeonjun danced this before for monthly evaluations" Sung deuk says
"Up until only the male part" Yeonjun says
"Yeji should do the female part" Lia Kim suggested
"Is this for real or just for fun?" I asked since it may not be able to match for the performance
"For shows when they ask you to dance together" Lia Kim suggested
"I feel like this is a good idea also for training" Sung deuk says trying to convince us well mostly me since Yeonjun already knew the choreography.
"Okay I'll do it" I said
"It'll be nice to learn a new dance" I added
We decided to start practicing the dance during our free times so we can focus on the collaboration.
We started practicing again but this time the other two pairs were back from vocal practice.
"Yah if you drop me I'm seriously going to kill you" Ryujin said seriously while doing a dance step where Soobin had to carry her by the waist and lift her up
"I promise I won't. Don't you trust me?" he asked which made Ryujin a blushing mess
"This is only our second time meeting each other of course I don't trust you" she made a comeback
"Well then I'll make sure to earn your trust" he said closely to her ear
Ryujin pushed him back and walked away from him walking to the direction of Chaeryeong acting like she was asking about the dance steps.
We are bound to tease Ryujin about this after practice. Yuna is already laughing.
"Someone's in love" Yuna whispered to me
"I bet they'll be together after the dating ban ends" I say confidently
"I bet they'll already be dating before the ban ends" Yuna said jokingly but there was a tint of seriousness in her voice which I shrugged away.
I laughed with her and saw Yeonjun talking to Soobin joking around. He must've also seen the scene they gave us.
