Chapter 6: ACT 3: Slight Change of Plans

Y/N: "So..." You started as Joe was casually avoiding some small piles of debris and several dead demons scattered on the road. You poked your head through the gap between the two front seats to look at Mikhail. "How is this going to work? Is there going to be a 'test' or something?"

Mikhail: "You could say that. To make a long story short, you'll have to prove your got what it takes to lead us." He said, keeping his eyes on the road. "I'll explain it better when we get there."

With that, you made space for you to sit back down. It would be one thing if there was only three people sitting down, but there are also two different sized bags and a large backpack, so there wasn't much room for comfort in the back seat.

After you were able to make yourself as comfortable as possible, you took out the medal from your pocket.

Sasha: "You're new around here, right?" She said, breaking the silence. "From what part of Hell are you from?"

Y/N: "Huh? Oh, right! About that..." you started, removing the hood from your head. "I'm not really from Hell..." you answered while scratching your head.

Both Sasha and Nate looked at you confused, until Sasha pulled your head closer for her to look, without realizing where she placed your face. After that, she started to search around throught your hair.

Sasha: "Wow, you're already this grown up and there's not even sign of them coming out? I mean, it's kind of weird but you shouldn't exclude yourself like that."

Nate: "Yeah boss, don't worry about it. It happens to a lot of demons..." he assures you while giving you a pat on the head, before freezing up. "Huhh... boss...?"

Sasha: "How old are you, anyway?" She said, pushing you back into your seat.

Y/N: "...huh?"

Sasha: "How. Old. Are. You?"

Y/N: "Oh! Ummm... I'm 21." You answered them, getting a weird look from the duo.

Nate: "...Okay, NOW you can't be from here! You're way too young to be this developed already."

Joe: "He's a human, you dipshits..." he said, making both of them freeze up and Mikhail take his eyes off the window to look at you.

Sasha: "You're a human?! I never seen one before!" She said with sparkles in her eyes.

Nate: "A human going toe to toe with demons... You're a freak of nature..."

Sene: "HEY! He's not doing it alone!" He said as his head came out of your shoulder. "He and his brother have been getting their fair share of help along the way, and don't undermine the participation of the Skelebros as well, you hear?!"

Y/N: "Can you stop screaming?! You're right next to my ear!"

Sasha/Nate: "You have a brother? He's here too?!"

After that, all four of them continued the loud chat, as the two 'older' demons were alternating between looking at road and the mirror giving them view of the backseat passengers.

Joe: "...heh. The youth, am I right?"

Mikhail: "Right..." he almost whispered as he looked at the mirror, seeing you loosen up while speaking with the other two, before looking at the road. "Keep going straight ahead, we'll be there in a few minutes..."

Back at the house
4 hours, 50 minutes left...
Jack POV

'Just wait until 6AM. If he doesn't show up, we'll go get him...'
