Break Through

Chapter 7

Cody walked around the desk to look more closely at the papers. Cody caught his breath, on top of the stack of paper, was the first sketch of day. She was smiling, with her long hair cascading down and over her shoulder, but her gray eyes were distent.

"I can hear you," she said.

Krissy yelped and jumped up running into David. "She talked! How is she talking?"

"Close your mouth you'll catch flies," said Day simply, and walked on throughout the asylum.

She heard footsteps behind her and turned to face David. "Day, you can't just leave!"

"I may leave on my own freewill," and with that, she walked right through the sliding glass doors, out onto the street.

Cody's hands were shaking as he picked up the picture. It was rough, not nearly as good as he could draw now. But it was unerving to see the first one he'd made on his fathers desk. The old Mahogany and books that lined the room smelled musty, but what shocked Cody most, was the papers that were under the picture.

It was dark outside, and the cold nipped at Day's face. She walked across the lawn, and then down the street. The cold concrete was a new feeling for Day. But then every thing was new to her right now. She could sence the people watching her from down the street, and could hear the non-stop city traffic. The horns of cars as they passed her on the street. 

She was leaving, and for the first time, she had an idea of where to go.

Cody couldn't belive it. He scaned the paper and only once saw his name, the rest was for a girl wit the name of Day Hayes, who lived in a mentil hospital on the north side of town. Taking the papers in shaking hands cody sprinted out the door, and out to his car. He had to find her.

holy crap i cant believe people actually read this! and yes i think this will be my last upload of this story. maybe someone can adopt it? but yeah so ta-daaaaa they are brother and sister! and i really have no idea what will happen and oh my god i still can't believe that people might have actually enjoyed this story! it's just full on CRAP!!

Anyway thank you for all the lovely comments, but i believe this wil be the last time you get free virtual bacon....

.... At least with this story. I've got a couple ideas....
