Mystery Boy?

"STOP IT! YOU'RE LYING!" I screamed at Carter.

"Baby, I only wish I was. He's gone, my love." I started sobbing into his chest.

"Why are you doing this to me?" I whispered in his chest.

"I wish, I really wish I didn't have to" He whispered in my ear and kissed the side of my head.

"When...when is the funeral?"

"Uh, Friday."

"Thanks Carter."

"Are you ready to go home?" He asked me as I realized we were standing in the waiting room at the hospital.

"Yes, but will you stay over? Please." I asked him as we started walking away.

"Of course, Aspyn."

As we began to walk away and the hospital started fading, I heard someone calling my name, it was his mom.

"Aspyn, I'm sorry. We will all be at the house, come over anytime. You can stay if you, please."

"Thank You, Tonight I'm gonna stay home."

"Is anyone staying with you, Dear?"

"Yes Ma'am, Carter."

"Okay, good. You take care, Ill see you later." She kisses my cheek and we walk away.

The next morning I wake up next to Carter. I got up and walked to the bathroom, I had mascara all over my face, I had obviously fallen asleep crying. I just don't understand how he is gone, I loved him so much.

"Aspyn, lets go." Carter told me knocking on the door.

"Uh, where are we going?" I asked him.

"Just come on."

"Alright, let me get dressed."

I pulled out joggers, a sweatshirt, and his beanie. I put my clothes on then put on Vans.

"Lets go." I told him and grabbed some stuff.

"Bye, Aspyn."

"Bye, Carter."

The boys had checked on me alot this morning, Taylor was gonna come stay with me next week.

"Hey, hun, are you staying the night?"

"Yes Ma'am."

"You can sleep in his bed."

"Thank You."

"You're Welcome."

I walked down the hall and in his room. On his bed was the teddy bear I got him, on his night stand a picture of us, in his top drawer were all the cards I had given him the last 4 years. His room was filled with our memories, he truly loved me.

1 MONTH LATER

I walked up to his head stone and laid down daisies, his favorites. Then, I sat down and began to cry.

"Baby, Its been one month without you, a whole month. But, it feels like forever since I have your beautiful face. I have news, we are having a baby girl, I wanna name her Briar, you always liked that name, Briar Lee. I'm scared, to not only raise a kid, but raise one alone. I have your mom though, I moved into your room. I haven't changed anything, its how you left it plus some. I sometimes wear your clothes, just to smell you. I miss you so much, I guess I'll see you someday, Matthew Lee. I love you."

Chills came over me and I could tell he was there and his arms were around me, and at that moment peace filled my body.
